PC won’t turn on after CPU change

I just upgraded from a Ryzen 7 2700 to a ryzen 5 5600x, after swapping the processors I notice my power supply will turn on and my CPU fan on the new processor will turn on, but nothing else will. I checked my BIOS and it should be compatible, and my chipset is correct too. The motherboard is from a prebuilt Dell, a dell 0vyxhd. I’ve reinstalled the old CPU and it works just fine, it’s obviously something wrong with the new one. I have tried resetting my CMOS.

From a Dell source does it say that specific motherboard is compatible with the new CPU?
Depending on why type of pre-built the Dell pc is the parts could either be off the shelf or extremely proprietary and locked down.

No idea, genuinely might have to change my motherboard which sucks

Then that is something to go look up. Depending on which way it is you could also be looking into replacing a PSU also. When Dell does proprietary items they tend to go all in.

Not sure, everything should be working. I honestly have been looking at replacing my board and case for a while now, I guess now is as good a time as any.

PSU has already been replaced and has worked fine for a couple years now, it’s just the CPU doing this

try to update bios again, if that doesnt work check if your motherboard specifically supports that cpu. i had a similar error and it turned out my mobo just didnt work on that cpu
