4 sticks of ram from 2 identical sets?

I have Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 16GB (2 x 8GB) CMN16GX4M2Z3600C18.
Would it be okay to get the same set for a total of 32GB?
Or can I even get non-RGB sticks with the same speed and timing specs to save some money?

I run RGB and non-RGB variants of Crucial memory in my PC. I was sure they’re identical underneath down to the chips used because Crucial’s part numbering is simple. I’m not sure if Corsair’s is as simple.
Three potential issues you could encounter whether you buy the RGB one or not:
The two kits are not as identical as you thought. Then you’ll have to manually set compatible timings. Not too difficult.
Your CPU isn’t able to overclock 4 sticks to DDR4-3600, even though it could do 2. Then you’ll have to manually set a lower speed. This is easy but hurts performance a bit.
The CPU and motherboard fail to initialise the two kits even after a few tries. Then you’d have to return the new kit. This sucks but it’s not likely to happen.

As long as the non RGB has the same speed and CAS Latency, it could potentially work, but never an guarantee.
If you want to be safe, just buy another set if you have available slots :)

You mean buy another RGB set?

Correct :)
