2006 Pontiac GTO
Individual_Put2261@reddit
Is this the one that was outside race rock in Florida years ago ?
frognbunny@reddit
Nice Monaro.
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
It’s actually Bigfoot 5. My mistake
ZeGermanHam@reddit
I was gonna say, that's far from the OG Bigfoot.
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
There was the body of the of one of the originals but it was just the body.
ShesATragicHero@reddit
That body is not even close to that of the OG Bigfoot.
Nouseriously@reddit
Parking in front of it like that is tempting fate. It's a hungry beast.
MikeTheNight94@reddit
Fun fact, those tires were originally made for this arctic exploring train thingy. Bigfoot creator went on a search for big tires and found the machine rusting away so he bought the tires from it
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
Yea it’s the Overland Train. US Amry made it around the 1950s
Zed32_Customs@reddit
Those land trains were made by the LeTourneua company. I think they made 3 land trains in total?
Meterora@reddit
There's a guy who was so into these he made a mini documentary about every one of them. If u want I can go look for it but u should be able to find it
nsgiad@reddit
You're talking about Calum I'd assume. https://youtube.com/@calumraasay

I think so. I know one of them is located in the Yukon at a museum and another is abandon out in the woods out that way I think.
MikeTheNight94@reddit
Yeah that thing! History or discovery did a special on it in the early 2000’s
diesel-revolver@reddit
Very brave of you to park there
vaderishvr666@reddit
Gravedigger FTW! Lol
Amani576@reddit
Man these cars are so cool. I still feel like they're kinda underrated. Mostly in that you just never see them or hear people talk about them. I know they can make monster numbers, handle well, and drive like a nice grand tourer. But they're not flashy so it always felt like they got looked over for the other contemporary GM muscle/pony cars.
Looks great man. I'm a little jealous even though I know I wouldn't end up buying one.
thedaveness@reddit
Agreed… here the last shot of mine before she got stolen. 305s in the back… just broke in the new clutch. :(
Phantompooper03@reddit
Dude I miss my Goat every day. ‘04 with ‘06 hood and rear bumper, long tubes and borla, heads and cam, and all pedder suspension. Shit I even had a stereo system in it. I’m so happy to see that there are still dudes who have their Goats and love them.
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
I do agree they are for sure underrated for the time. 400hp stock in 2006 is pretty damn good.
I really love the GM/Holdens here in the States will for sure be buying a Chevy SS after my Ford Fusion daily finally dies lol.
rational_overthinker@reddit
*All * the Uncles scrambled in here ready to type the number 5
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
I know right
rational_overthinker@reddit
Man I wanted one of those GTO's forever but living in LA needing a commuter car I had to settle for a V6 Honda Accord Coupe, but at least it has a 6 speed.
SMGesus_18@reddit
Hey I have seen you around ptown, I’m in the silver civic lowered on some Konig wheels. Things clean!
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
I’ll keep my eye out for ya. I’m out in Herky
jbimmer3@reddit
What is the point of this vs a normal monster truck?
thedaveness@reddit
What is the point of pushing every single aspect of mechanics?
DarkShades@reddit
"Normal" monster trucks didn't exist when this was built. It was one of the steps along the way to what we now know as monster trucks.
Ok_Dog_4059@reddit
The old days of an actual truck modified with huge tires was such an interesting start to what we have today.
fiero-fire@reddit
Love it for a road trip stop. Also the gen GTO is so unappreciated
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
Agreed. I’ll never sell it
DAStinson01@reddit
What wheel are those they lookreally solid. Still have the factory 17s on mine.
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
Yeah hard to find these wheels I hear. Rota P45s I think? I had the 17s for years as back ups. Sold em but kind of regret it. Would op for the factory 18s if I can ever find a nice set
Iromeo256@reddit
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
06GTOGuy@reddit (OP)
Appreciate it as well. Worked hard to make it look good. If you look at my profile you can see it when I first bought it.
