Second trip to the range with this colt LE6900, first time it fired fine, semi like normal. This time around it’s shooting twice with one trigger pull. It’s not a binary trigger because it bursts before I let the trigger go, anyone know what could be causing this?

Take this post down before the ATF sees this... In the ATF's eyes that's an unregistered machine gun for some restarted reason

First you shouldn’t have posted it to Reddit.

Why?

ATF inbound. Hide your dog.

The amount of absolute noob questions in these two days is too damn high. Google it first next time.

Trigger spring may be in backwards. Did you take it out to clean it or have to install it in this gun?
zero_fox_given1978@reddit
From what I can see it looks like your trigger has a couple of different functions depending on how far it's depressed.
Billybob_Bojangles2@reddit
When you fire, keep your trigger pulled and don't let go. If it still fires more than one round then you can rule out bump firing and just replace the fire control group.

And get rid of the upgrade?

Look up how to do a functions check and follow those steps

that definitely belonged to a boomer going off the fact its a colt and has a tube handguard. im willing to bet its a diy binary trigger which was a common modification before actual binaries were released. it doesnt let you select between binary and semi so just swap out the trigger group to a larue or something if you want normal function.

That would actually make sense, the guy said he doesn’t believe in red dots or Tupperware LMAO

You just aren't using enough shrink wrap!

First of all, lower your voice…

1) Stop shooting it.
2) Take it to a gunsmith.
FarOpportunity-1776@reddit
Good amount of trigger issues don't really need a gunsmith just a good inspection.
Kromulent@reddit
OP seems pretty green and a malfunctioning trigger is a bad thing. I think a gunsmith is a good call here.
If he knew enough to be safely inspecting a trigger he'd know.

If you bought the rifle used then it seems it has a binary trigger installed "fucking score"....if you take some pics of the trigger group many here would be able to tell if it's indeed such trigger..... if it's a factory trigger then something is fucky and you may want to order a quality trigger kit lol.
ardesofmiche@reddit
What trigger is installed in the rifle? It’s possible the disconnecter is out of spec, or the trigger is light enough you’re actually bump firing it
Infinite-Pressure174@reddit (OP)
It is the original stock trigger for this rifle, that may be it but I can’t check now, I’m at work
