The more you give.The more they will take while leveraging their position and power with fear. All the while stuffing their pockets with billions of dollars and laughing at your expense. It's always been a "class" thing. From having to take jobs that nobody wants to do, but the country needs (i.e. trucking, picking potatoes, to joining the military.) If you're poor, undereducated, not connected, or sick. You're a hell of a lot less likely to worry about what they're doing. When you don't have insurance, or a means to keep a roof over your head or food on the table, you're not worrying about the air you're breathing or the water quality. When you're looking at your 401k and realize that retirement might not be an option. You're not thinking about generational wealth and leaving your kids in a better spot than you were. I'm not a political dude. But, I'm over the bullshit cloaked in patriotism. I'm tired of the "We the people" shit; and having a rich man try and tell me what's best for me and my life. I've always been of the opinion that it takes all kinds. But, it also takes a village. I don't care about anyone 's personal business unless it infringes on my own liberties, but if you can't be decent, and you're more invested in being angry instead of doing the right thing. Man the jokes on you. No one leaves this rock alive, you can't take it with you, and 100 years from now, none of this manufactured drama will matter to you. I do love this country and the opportunity it provides. But screaming into the void on Facebook and filing your coffers with as many liberal or any other tears as possible, isn't helping your standing , the country, and isn't leaving this country a better place to be for all of us. As someone who grew up in the south, I'm lucky a graduate middle school dropped out of hs it wasn't until a year ago I got my GED. When I moved up north to nyc, I noticed that everyone there graduated HS, and most people at least have an A.S. back home they'd be throwing a party for graduating HS with D's. It really is amazing the difference you see in education in different parts of the country. I'm now working towards my A.S. I really wish someone would have knocked some sense into me when I was younger.
