My one week old pc has vga red light on

Just noticed the vga red light on my motherboard (b650 gaming x ax v2 from gigabyte) is on. my pc is not having any issues. I can play games just fine , no crash or black screen. My bios is up to date F32b.
Should I be worried if everything is functioning properly? I am using a gpu psu cable extender. Could that cause a vga red light? I am using a 4080 Super

I would first double check you are plugged into your graphics card and not your motherboard. The VGA light does usually mean there is a problem with the motherboard communicating with the graphics card. It is very possible that it could be the chord you mentioned but the only ways to determine that is to plug the graphics card in directly or try another cable and see if the problem persists.

Make sure you turn on your display before the PC. I have the same motherboard, and the red light comes up, but if the monitor is already on, then it will go off.
