Looking for a cheap power back up

So, we get several blackouts in my area and I am hoping to find a cheaper back up to use to recharge phones, maybe power a lamp (LED) and possibly power my router for little bits. It only needs to last at max 2 days and won't be used the entire time.
I am in Canada and looking at Amazon for Black Friday.
I am so confused and have no idea how to figure out what I need. Would a UPS work or something else? Can anyone help?

I would recommend you check my post about preparing for a Power Outage. At the top I mention Solar Generators and have links to videos that will help you determine your needs.

Thank you. I was gonna check out Chris's video again.
I'm just confused on if I need a 300 w or a 600 w... The 300 w you recommended sounds pretty good though and is within the same price as most I've been looking at. I hope we get a good black Friday special

The Watt Hours, Wh, is how much power you have stored. More Whs is always better. It really comes down to what you're powering and for how long.
Cell phones and Tablets? The one I mentioned is fine. For things like a Router and Modem to run longer than an hour or two, you will need more.

Thank you! That actually really helped. I'm probably going to set my sights at 600 but will go to 300 if there aren't any awesome sales

I expect there to be some awesome sales.
If I may.....I actually am waiting for the EcoFlow River 3 Plus/Max to launch. If you scroll down to the River 3 and where it says "Buy Now" you will see a tab just under it for the Plus and Max. If you select those tabs it will give you the option "Notify Me". I would recommend doing so. Even if they come out after the Holidays, that is going to be the units to get.
The Plus is expandable to become the Max. So if you get the Plus now to save money, you can get the expandable battery to turn it into the Max later on. My intention is to get the Plus/Max and use it as a permanent UPS for my Internet Modem and Router. Getting this would, at least in the near future, "future proof" yourself if you expand the system.

Ugh, that model isn't available in Canada yet. However, the site prices are very similar to Amazon prices which is great.

The Plus and Max aren't available to anyone yet. I would get on the notification list if you're interested.

If you have batteries for your power tools, a little inverter is cheap, my harbor freight cheapo runs a tv and WiFi router for just under the rated amp hour time (8 ah battery will run both for about 7 hours)
