I have recently purchased a xfx speedster 6650xt off of Amazon to upgrade my GPU from a 1050 ti and

After installation it seems to run worse so I went back and used DDU to uninstall all video drivers "to get rid of old nVidea drivers" then reinstall the AMD ones My game seemed to still be running poorly when there was A LOT going on and while trying to record gave me poor frames especially on overwatch

After troubleshooting more I've come to the conclusion it's either my CPU or a faulty graphics card from Amazon. "Tell me if I'm wrong or can troubleshoot more" My CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600g. I might either be bottlenecking since this CPU doesn't seem to be that good after doing more research or since overwatch is such a CPU intensive game also not be seeing gains there.

I'm debating on either trying to return the GPU and get a different one to maybe better pair with this CPU or just upgrade my CPU in hopes that my GPU is actually good.

I have 16g's of 3200mhz ddr4 ram, idk if another 16 help?

If I chose CPU upgrade what would you guys recommend to pair with my 6650xt

Or if I chose to return the GPU what GPU could pair well "in a similar price range" with the Ryzen 5 5600g that won't bottleneck it too bad?
