HDMI and Display port both suddenly stop working but audio still works.

Hi all. I recently upgraded my motherboard, CPU, and RAM and started encountering this issue. My computer boots up just fine and sometimes both my HDMI and all my Display ports suddenly stop working. All of my fans are still running normally and a power cycle usually fixes this issue. Does anyone know what this issue might be? I have tried unplugging and replugging power cables to my GPU. TIA.

When you upgraded did you clean install Windows or no?

I did not. Windows was still installed and didn't seem to need to be reinstalled. I did update all my drivers.

Got it. When you switch hardware like that Windows attempts to reconfigure itself for the new hardware, but it's not always perfectly successful at that, and it can lead to some weird issues like this.
I would recommend first trying to use DDU to completely uninstall your GPU drivers. Then reinstall them from scratch.
If that doesn't fix your issues, I'd recommend just doing a clean install at that point.

Thanks for the suggestion. What’s the easiest way to do a clean windows install?

Easiest way to do a new windows install is to use a flash drive to make install media, you would probably want to try removing the old drivers first though, that's probably an easier fix to try first

Clean install didn’t work. Any other advice? Pc isn’t detecting monitors upon boot
