- Full face window for maximum visibility, similar to a MIRA Safety CM-I01
- Compatible with 40mm filters/PAPR minimum
- Drinking tube compatibility
- Relatively comfortable for long-term use
- Main frontal port with optional side ports for more comfortable use when shooting rifles
- Rated to completely eliminate irritants like tear gas

I have the mira cm-7m, the one with the two small eye windows. I've used it irl in hazmat situations. You have full vision, the windows are right where they need to be. And in my experience I would not want a full face window as the likelihood of you hitting something and cracking the whole thing is much higher.
I've gotten it to seal just fine with a close cropped beard (1/2 inch) and the tear gas should be stopped by just about any filter. The full expensive cbrn filters only last for about 20 minutes until the reactor element inside that kills the organic compounds with low boiling fades, but in my experience will still work for longer against OC, tear gas, and your standard industrial fumes. Combined filters will get all the above with the exception of things like mercury vapor and such, for half the price. So if you're playing the odds, 2 filters that nullify 90% of stuff could be better than 1 that gets everything for 20 minutes.

Have you looked into Avon protection?

The mask is only one part of the equation. The other is the filter. The Mira mask you mentioned is fine but you need different filters for different purposes.

Very true, I figured I'd start with the mask and work from there as I'm aware of compatibility concerns. No sense in buying filters without a mask to use them with.

All of my masks are the Mira CM-6M. I have tested it and been very happy with it. I ordered the new C21 to test it out but I haven't seen it yet, so I don't have an opinion.

The CM-6M looks nice, the C21 looks like a dog muzzle though lol.

Because that shape makes it easier to aim with a rifle.

I believe it, no denying that. Does it feel heavy when wearing it? I feel like with more mass in front of your face it could potentially get uncomfortable over time, but that's just a guess

I can only speak for the CM-6M that I have tested. You obviously do feel some weight, especially if you have two filters on. It is balanced but still your head will pull forward a bit. For use in a situation of 30 minutes or less, it's fine and doesn't matter. However, if you plan on wearing the mask for longer than that, you really want to get the MB-90 Pack.
