1080ti starting to die - Where to?

I'm on a Ryzen 95900x so I shouldn't (I think?) have any CPU limitations on upgrading.
I've been playing on the same 1080p screen for a decade. I can upgrade to 1440p monitor easily, but mostly held off because the 1080ti has been wonderful.
So the question - What are the card options I should look for in potentially upgrading to 1440?

What is your budget & the country in which you intend to purchase parts in?
Is Ray tracing a priority for you; or, are the games you enjoy primarily rasterization based?

Budget is open. USA
I've never used ray tracing. I might have two games that utilize it? Up until very recent history the game I played the majority of my time on was released in 2010. (World of Tanks)
I'd love to future proof until I can retire this CPU to home lab, and the GPU can always move forward.

Ok. Here's a couple charts for you to peruse.
1440p Rasterization Performance
1080p Rasterization Performance
1080p Ray Tracing Performance
1440p Ray Tracing Performance
I encourage you to go onto PCPartPicker to determine GPU prices after you've decided on your preferred performance.
Also; it might make sense to buy an interim budget GPU that can handle your current games at similar performance of your dying 1080ti, while waiting for the next generation launch of GPU's early next year.

Care about RT? Nvidia
Don't care about RT and want similar performance at a more affordable price? AMD
Stream or video encode? Nvidia
Only game and browse? Either, but AMD is likely the better option for price

I didn't even think about that since I've been dealing with RL stuff. Yeah Gonna have to go with Nvidia.

On what budget? The more the better, with 7800xt($460)/7900 GRE($530)/4070 super($590) as the starting point, as they are twice as fast.
trobsmonkey@reddit (OP)
Budget isn't a problem. I don't need a 4090 as I play literally nothing that would utilize it. So I'm trying to find the spot below that.
Pumciusz@reddit
Find a benchmark that plays the game you're intrested in and has many diffrent GPUs, see prices you can buy them for, and calculate FPS/dollar.

Sick thanks.

4070 Ti Super & 4080 are the best cards for 1440p & 4080 can do some limited 4K stuff. The 4070 Ti Super is probably the best bang for your buck Nvidia 1440p card though.
