What Are The Best Field Dressing Manuals?

I am newer to prepping but grew up in the country so I do have some working knowledge on some topics. I am wondering if there is a manual with instructions on how to dress a variety of animals, from deer to rabbits and squirrels, birds and fish etc. I know some of the process is universal but a how-to with pictures would be helpful. Does anyone know if such a book exists/ what the best ones are? Thank you in advance!

Right here buddy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0882663917
Best book you can get.
There's also a two book series (first one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/197480500X ) by Rinella that's my hunting bible.

Rinella set is what I was pointed to when i asked this question from a group of hunters. and Amazon saying "You purchased a coyp of this on Feb 27, 2023" sounds like I took them up on it. :)

THANK YOU this is exactly what I was looking for.

I’d recommend becoming familiar with field dressing now as opposed to finding a manual for later.

I live in a residential area and I don’t have much access places/means to practice. I plan to start studying now but I like to have reference material on hand. To teach myself and others

I hate to tell you but reading a manual on it is like reading a manual on how to ride a bike.

Yeah, that’s how most things are until you do them a few times 😂 thank you though for that brilliant insight

Sure bud. Go find a manual on how to field dress an animal. I’m sure that’ll be helpful in the apocalypse.

Just a quick question; Have you learned how to store rainwater, purify water, garden food, can/store food, make herbal medicine, make compost, sew clothes, raise chickens, build a shelter from nothing, start fires with nothing but two sticks and some kindling, make shoes, deliver babies, or brew alcohol? Or just kill and slaughter animals? Because if you haven’t learned how to do any of those things I’m gonna be way better off than you. :) have fun with scurvy and dysentery. I know a lot, I asked for a manual to fill in the gaps, not your half assed advice. I can disassemble and reassemble my firearms too. Let me read my book and kindly bugger off please.

With the exception of sewing and delivering babies yes I know how to do those things. I didn’t figure it out by reading manuals either, It takes time and experience.
Field dressing an animal isn’t something you should learn from a book. Books are a great but somethings you don’t learn by reading a book.
You need to get some experience field dressing. If you think getting a manual is the solution then you clearly don’t have a clue what you’re asking about. It’s hard enough watching a YouTube video on butchering let alone trying to decipher a diagram and an explanation. It doesn’t get anymore hands on than cutting up an animal.

For Christ sake lmao where did I say I was never going to to practice this? I have learned everything I know from both studying and hands on experience. I can’t practice right now, so I’m getting manuals. Now for the third time, stranger I didn’t ask for advice, I will be ending this conversation

Well on the bright side at least you’ll have some extra paper to start a fire. Do yourself a favour and prep to stay in the city.

I cull whitetail doe deer populations during the summertime for farmers on agricultural fields. The fastest and easiest way is to debone the deer in the field and put the meat into 2 gallon freezer bags. I can debone a deer in less time than most people can properly field dress a deer. In warmer weather this really prevents meat spoilage, and you don't have to figure out what do to with the carcass.

I am no prepper expert, but have hunted my whole life. YouTube has great tutorials you could watch before time.
Gutless method should apply to most mammals.
It’s pretty straight forward. Cut off skin, cut off meat, don’t cut guts.
