Help me choose which 4080 Super has the best chance to not disappoint (repost because I used a forbidden word apparently)

Hi!
I am looking for opinions on the few specific cards I can purchase, as I need a new GPU
What is important to me:
- No coil whine (I know it's a lottery, but for example I heard ASUS is known to have more issues with that)
- Quiet cooling, I heard a few questionable things about Gigabyte's "Windforce" series in the past
- I don't care about potential 1-2% more performance from a specific model. Whatever I'll get wil make me happy forever, these are ridiculously powerful cards
- I live in Europe, but I still care about customer support, though I know we can safely assume all manufacturers suck. I've had questionable experience with Gigabyte's repair shop, took them a month to do my card and they didn't even fix it
My options (All are RTX 4080 Super):
- MSI GAMING X SLIM
- MSI VENTUS 3X OC (I heard it's "the cheapest MSI offers"?)
- Gigabyte GAMING OC
- Gigabyte WINDFORCE V2
- There are also some (to me) lesser known brands and models like Palit GamingPro, PNY VERTO, KFA2 SG, Inno3D X3 or Zotac AMP (well, I know Zotac). I feel safer spending this amount of money on a manufacturer I at least know, but I suppose I am open to options
Reading opinions online is weird. I was almost set on GAMING X SLIM from MSI because the opinions at the page are flawless and mention nice work culture, but then I read in one of many Reddit threads that it's a bit louder. So I started considering Gigabyte - and same story. The opinions in the online store are (almost) flawless, but then I go to Reddit and find a well-liked comment about how Gigabyte's on the louder side

In my opinion, Inno3d is the biostar of Nvidia... the cheap brand.
Don't sleep on PNY, their cards are not bad and they look pretty good too.

I read that with the 4080 Super specifically, both PNY models have fan control issues. They apparently have a relatively high idle RPM and it cannot be controlled through software because of a bug or omitted feature.
ChickenNuggts@reddit
I have the pny 4080 super version of this card with this alleged problem. When I researched about cards they all had problems but this card seemed like the least problems with just the fan issue coming up. I bit the bullet and bought it because I could return it if it was really bad.
So my experience having it, I’ve had no problems with the fan control. I can’t hear them idle, my case fans (these onesare louder when everything revs up. And I have had no troubles controlling the fan speed with the PNY software I downloaded from their website. I however can’t control fans with anything other than their software that I’ve found. Unlike my old evga 1070.

Hm maybe I’ll just go ahead and buy the Verto then since that’s one of the only cards at MSRP right now. Thanks for the tip.

Seconded for PNY. I always liked their cards. Currently have a PNY 408O super I got on Amazon for $950 and have 0 issues

FACTS brother. for me though unfortunately my card itself was questionable too- the majority of games I play crash unless I greatly underclock my gpu. I sent it in twice for an RMA, paid for shipping both times, both times I received the same fucking card with no changes.
DO NOT BUY GIGABYTE THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED I HAVE A PERSONAL VENDETTA AGAINST GIGABYTE I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THEIR COMPANY IS ASHES

Anecdotal of course so everyone can feel free to wipe their arse with my opinion.
My little brother bought a 2070, I bought a 2080, my wife bought a 2080ti and we all bought Asus ROG large wallet editions.
My friend bought a 2080 PNY and he was the only one who didn't have to RMA it.
whomad1215@reddit
PNY is also who makes the founders editions for nvidia

Palit Gamingpro has ridiculous fan noise at 65% speed and above, not to mention their proprietary ThunderMaster software just to control the RGB colours.

Never once had my Slim go over 60 degrees. Things a beast. It’s whined twice. That’s it. When I manually turn on the fans to 100% I had to check with my phone torch to see if they were even on they where that quiet. Lvoe it a lot and while the slim worried me I just went for it. I enjoy the look too.
Only issue I’ve had was it was slightly awkward to install as it wasn’t grippy and it nearly slipped out my fingers plugging it into the motherboard slot lol. I haven’t had it for that long (few weeks) but it’s brilliant

I have a windforce 4080s and I keep thinking the fans aren’t running bc it’s so quiet. My 3070 ftw3 was loud so maybe I’m biased from that but no complaints on the windforce.
Atcera95@reddit
Gigabyte has always been quiet and runs relatively cool.

I just got the ventus 3x for my pc. No complaints so far personally. Temps have been great when I look at them, no whine or crazy fan speeds.
vaatlaw@reddit
Same here, I use a Ventus 3x OC and it has been great. Barely audible, no coil whine, and handles NVIDIA’s OC through their app without issue. Temps have not been higher than 65 degrees thus far and I love the having the second HDMI port it has over the 3x DP in others.

I have the Gigabyte Windforce V2. Super happy with it, and it was honestly reassuring to have the 12+4 pin connect face sideways. Felt much better than trying to wrap that cable around the top of the card like all the others.
Prologuenn@reddit
I have msi 4080 super gaming x trio. Its both quiet and cool card.

Review aggregate.
The problem is, unless the card is tested by the same source using the methodology you can't make comparisons. My loud could be your quiet. The card one site gets may have coil whine and another won't.
The best you'll do is compare reviews from the same site.

Note that this is for the US so your experience might differ from mine. If you go with MSI their RMA in my experience wasn’t great. Sent a 4090 in October to fix, decent communication via email when they got it, came back still broken.
MSI payed to have it sent back, stated overnight assessment of replacement then didn’t hear anything for a week not even that they got it, had to call them, couldn’t give me any real info since support can’t talk to the repair center. Repair center eventually emails me and tell me they’re unable to fix or replace the card, even with a lesser 4080 super or a 4070 ti super stating they don’t have any cards they can send so a card + partial repayment for my 4090 isn’t an option so I can only get a refund.
So in my case I’m getting a full refund on my 1.6 year old 4090 which is nice, but it’s after 2 RMAs and almost 2 months without a card and unless they expedite my payment I won’t see the money for another month or more.

I bought the Zotac Trinity 4080s and I have 0 complaints. No coil whine and it runs great. Haven’t had any issues yet! I was skeptical about the rounded look at first but after install the rounded parts are pointed down so you don’t even see it really, I’m def happy with it! Goodluck!!
