IDFKSomeGuyIGuess@reddit
I'm not prepping on black Friday I'm prepping FOR black Friday. Gotta make absolutely sure I don't have to go to any stores for any reason.
MercyMay@reddit
We’re looking for a whole house water filter system anyway, so it would be great to find one on sale.
Effective_Trip7275@reddit
Homedepot puts them on sale as deal of the day. I once caught a very good sale on one.
jadedunionoperator@reddit
Idk if they’re on sale but I got an ISPRING system earlier this year and it’s been really good. Their customer service even comped me for a full filter replacement when I experienced clogging because I hadn’t added an appropriate spin down filter. Was 800$ for a 3 stage system with UV light and spin down filter that I installed myself
Simp_Red@reddit
I go through REI to look for good deals
swampjuicesheila@reddit
Looking for deals on raised garden beds, the metal type. Our soil is not great for growing veggies, and my knees are done for working low to the ground. Metal because of critters and whatnot around here.
freddiemay12@reddit
Pick up some IBC totes on FB marketplace. They're the shape of a pallet, used for transporting liquids. Pull the plastic bladder out, cut off the top 6 inches, and put it back in the cage. Can move them around with a forklift or skid steer. Fill with compost. No leaning over, no weeds. Easy gardening.
rocketscooter007@reddit
Jack at the survival podcast likes the Vevor raised beds. I just looked at their site and 4x8x24 metal beds are $72 for black Friday. I have no personal experience with them.

Maybe a chainsaw. I've been a good boy this year.
Sropte@reddit
Husqvarna is a good brand :)
Cll_Rx@reddit
He ment to say Stihl
darkhorse85@reddit
The stihls that I've used have been more finicky on gas than the huskies. Dunno if that's universal but just my observation.
Many-Health-1673@reddit
Those stupid Stihl flip caps ruined the easiest task on running a chainsaw. Adding oil and fuel.
When I started to have to carry extra Stihl flip caps that really made it ridiculous

GlendaleActual@reddit
I bought a 562 xp this fall and have loved it. Cut 60-70 trees so far. Thing is a beast.
Many-Health-1673@reddit
I'd recommend any non strato saw. They last longer with less maintenance
Upper-Glass-9585@reddit
New ebike, another lifepo4 battery for solar, bifacial solar panels, bigger inverter, PCP air rifle. They are all wants not needs so I guess let's see what the deal gods say lol
Reach_304@reddit
Just got me a Eberlestock Bando bag on black Friday markdown & a light for my gadget 😎🤙🏽 It’s been a fruitful few weeks
ResolutionMaterial81@reddit
So far....mainly been snagging Augason Farms & Mountain House Freeze Dried sales on Amazon....$100+ at a time for the extra $25 off.
27 cans & 4 Augason Farms Pails
206,825 extra calories for the Long Term Storage Pile
ResolutionMaterial81@reddit
Add to that 4 ea cans of Mountain House Beef Lasagna
Revised to 214,745 extra calories
KJHagen@reddit
Just a few odds and ends. I'd like some gunsmith tools, including a small torque wrench. I need a couple Jerry cans, and a smaller can for mixing and storing chainsaw fuel. I need to replace two tarps that are looking very ratty.
TheAncientMadness@reddit
r/preppersales already started black friday lol. bought a shit ton of mountain house #10 cans and got $25 off each hundred spent
kenay813@reddit
How long do the contents of the cans last after opening?
Evolved_Dojo@reddit
Currently debating an outdoor propane double burner, Amazon has a deal right now spend 100 and save 25, plus it's already 33% off making it $81. Don't really need it but I feel it would be a good backup.
ComplaintOk807@reddit
Link?!
Additional-Stay-4355@reddit
You don't need it, but you deserve it. Treat yo self!
I want one too. The indoor butane type that they use on cooking shows. It would be a good backup for my crappy electric stove.
Repair_Scared@reddit
Definitely buy one. I used mine during a recent hurricane and I also let my aunt and uncle borrow it once our power was back on The first thing my uncle did was buy one for himself. I have one that uses both butane and propane I'm thinking of buying another as a back up.
Evolved_Dojo@reddit
I bought it 😅 treat yo self 2024
RemoteUnable@reddit
Aye, that’s the one I got! Delivery is a couple weeks out but I couldn’t pass that deal
The_Hilltop@reddit
I'm planning to get a small 100W solar panel for my Anker power station. I'm buying an addition 2 vials of insulin every month out of pocket to buffer my supply from 6 months to a year. I've purchased some foreign foods that I like a lot that would get held up if there are supply chain/tariff issues. I also topped off all heating oil and wood for to heat my house over the winter.
Not really black friday specific but just what I've been working on. When the ACA gets trounced on I have to be ready.
Even-Apartment-9573@reddit
Smart!

I picked up a Jakery2000 on sale for $800. It came in today.

Water storage jugs.

I want a 5000 series Nvidia card. Going to have to upgrade the psu first.
SportsUtilityVulva9@reddit
If it doesnt work at first, you may need to update bios on your motherboard
My version was 2020 and was too old to recognize a new nvidia

Pandemic preparedness supplies. H5N1 is coming
BIGMANJOE97@reddit
Na "they" wouldn't attack humanity the same way again. They know we are more prepared for it. If they do something, it's going to be something that we are not prepared for. Like a collapse of a 1st world country or a widespread cyber attack.
hockeymammal@reddit
Sorry my friend, Google it. You’re 100% wrong
BIGMANJOE97@reddit
Hopefully we're both wrong
hockeymammal@reddit
Agreed. But I work in medicine and have been watching it for months. The teen in Canada has ARDS in the ICU and the virus has 2 of the 3 big mutations 1918 H5 influenza had. Check out the waste water in CA. We can hope but ought to prepare
a_stack_of_ice_bears@reddit
Keeping an eye on Ham Radio Outlet for a deal on a Yaesu FT-991a or FT-710 Field. Debating the substantially newer 710 Field vs the HF/VHF/UHF utility of the 991a.
Routine_Umpire_3071@reddit
Not a whole lot on the wish list right now. Definitely no urgent purchases.
I may check harbor freight for a new 10/3 extension cord for the backup generator to my backup generator.
I probably won't be getting any, but I'm always curious to see the freeze dried food deals.
Possibly see if Bass Pro has any guns on sale that I've been wanting.
Maybe more mylar from Wallaby.
lightspeedissueguy@reddit
Just throwing this out there, but sams club has a great 100ft 12/3 cord for like $60. I bought 3 for work and genny use.
Routine_Umpire_3071@reddit
Nice! I do have 12/3... Wanted a nice 100 ft 10/3. Don't trust 12/3 as much at that length.
lightspeedissueguy@reddit
Fair enough. Just depends on the load. You can easily have 100ft of 14ga daisy chained between $1 outlets on a 15a breaker in your house. That said, I respect the precaution. That's what this is all about!
SepNevermore@reddit
Hoping Jace Case has a good deal.
ParallelPlayArts@reddit
A chest freezer for a small apartment. My chest freezer just isn't enough space. Maybe a vacuum sealer if the price is right.
hockeymammal@reddit
I want a chest freezer so bad lol
ThisIsAbuse@reddit
I really don’t have much to purchase as I try to keep up on things yearly. Maybe some more masks. I do have to upgrade my wireless routers and decided to do this know before tariffs
Wingdings244k@reddit
Maybe a bidet lol
__Mr__Wolf@reddit
I want a fuckin dirtbike
DwarvenRedshirt@reddit
Not really anything on the wishlist. I got them on previous Amazon day's. I'll keep an eye out to see if anyone posts something I didn't think of though.
Virtual-Feature-9747@reddit
I do look for sales, deals, and targets of opportunity but my prep list is my list regardless of the time of year.
Right now we have everything we *need* but there are always gaps and areas of improvement. My Amazon prep list never seems to get any smaller.
Some bigger ticket items on the list: additional wireless security cameras, second handgun, reverse osmosis water filter, second backup solar generator, maybe armor plates for my carrier (low priority).
Some of this stuff may go up in price if tariffs go into effect.
SimbasPrideRock@reddit
1) Good ammo and gun deals 2) freeze dried food stashes (Auguson farms, mountain house, etc) 3) harbor freight tools I’ve been needing for home improvement projects (cement mixer, auger, etc) as I’m afraid harbor freight will no longer be a bargain once china tariffs happen next year. Building a shed next year which will help optimize some of my storage/prepping as well as doing some landscaping work for more veggie gardens. 4) diapers - there’s never enough diapers for a 10 month old baby
