Don't the waffle mag AUG's have slightly better triggers? They're both obviously dogshit, but I've heard the standard was better (I've only shot the NATO).

I wonder if the chamber is in the same location relative to the magazine. I imagine that and the bolt clearance vs the magazine would be the two largest considerations, unless I am totally off on my guess. (I, as a filthy poor, do not own one of these amazing machines... yet.)

Think the idea is they feed better since they don't have that transition single feed mags have. There may be benefit when actually shooting a full auto sub-gun but i don't think it would matter on a semi auto. Dedicated double feed mags usually look more aesthetically pleasing then regular pistol mags in a sub gun.
