What are some realistic fictional firearms?

Like the title says, I'd be interested to discuss different guns from entertainment media that, while fictional or created for the story they are in, are realistic enough or based on real-life guns.
For example, the Robo-cop Auto 9, various guns from Cyberpunk 2077, Pulse Rifle from aliens, etc.

The pistol used in the Kigsman movies is a Tokarev with a reprofiles slide and a 20ga shotgun barrel mounted below it.

Space balls rifles are calico liberty in 22
Aliens: m41a is a thompson
Robocop: cobra assault cannon (barrett m82)

The smart guns in Aliens are MG42 mounted on a steady cam arm for motion picture cameras.

BR55 battle rifle, VK78 Commando, Mk50 Sidekick - all from Halo, all pretty realistic in terms of design and caliber
The DMR says it fires 7.62x51mm but it's way more powerful than the MA5 series, which are way too weak
Even the M6 series Magnums are somewhat feasible. They're just Deagles.

The shotgun in halo is basically an upside down shotgun too.

in 8ga shells which did actually exist. There's no commercial source for any 8-bore ammo today, but it used to be a thing.

Shotgun blanks are used start radial engines too. its in the movie, flight of the phoenix. .22, .25,.27 blanks are used in ramsets to drive nails through concrete.

I think that 8 gauge is for shooting slag and waste thats building up on machinery while refining metal.
BeenisHat@reddit
Yeah I was reading about them. Winchester makes some slugs as well that look wicked.
KillerSwiller@reddit
Someone actually built a functional one.

There's also a channel called Impact Props that tries their best to recreate Halo weapons specifically. They've done almost all the UNSC weapons lol

g1Razor15@reddit
someone built the a version of the BR55 with some liberties taken
Limp-Might7181@reddit
Halo Battle Rifle has actually been made and that’s from a video game.

Nothing in Cyberpunk is 'realistic' - they're one teeny little step above Bethesda's 'gun' designs.

The hand cannons from the Destiny franchise are based off of the chiappa rhino, which really looks like a sci Fi gun already.
The rhino is my favorite gun and I have 2 of them.
gooniboi@reddit
I have a black 6 inch rhino that I printed a custom grip for and I so badly want a gold one.

oh, destiny has quite a few didn't think of that

Star wars guns are ww2 guns. There was a tv show called terra nova. They used nerf longshots and nitefinders lol.

The various different Saburo firearms seen in the Ghost in the Shell franchise and the Angel Arms revolvers from Trigun come to mind. Similarly the firearms in the Riding Bean/Gunsmith Cats anime/manga are based on real firearms and the same goes for most of the firearms seen in Cowboy Bebop(one of the main characters even owns an Jericho pistol).

There's a kind of weird situation where the Pitt Viper was made for John Wick IV and also released to the public.
