ULPT: Someone sexually assaulted someone close to me. I know who they are and where they work. What can I do to make them miserable?

They're a student at my university. No police are involved, but this fucker even wrote an article about how they don't regret what happened. I want to make them pay.
noobnoobthedestroyer@reddit
I’m so confused by the article aspect of this. Is it just super vague to where nothing is admitted?
hunterman25@reddit (OP)
"Normally I'd wake up with regrets and a hangover, but I feel calm"
"How often do you get to kiss someone like that"
etc.
It's a story article filled with metaphors and doesn't refer to anything specific.
noobnoobthedestroyer@reddit
So weird. Best of luck with whatever route from this thread you end up going with
TheSeedsYouSow@reddit
If he wrote an article can’t you show that to the police as evidence?
hunterman25@reddit (OP)
The article doesn't explicitly detail what happened, but if you know what happened it's easy to connect the dots. Also, the victim doesn't want police involved.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
So your friend is cool with this guy continuing to assault people? And why are you wanting to defend them?
Own_Bluejay_7144@reddit
Well, she would have to stand up in public and say she was raped. I don't think a lot of straight males would do that. Then she has to relive the trauma on the stand and be called a liar or a whore on cross-examination. Finally, he could be found not guilty or given probation by the judge.
On average, there are 463,634 victims (age 12 or older) of rape and sexual assault each year in the United States. Out of every, 1,000 rapes, 310 are reported to police. 50 of those are arrested, and only 25 go to prison. So out of those 463,634 rapes, 452,043 will go unpunished.
She has a 84% chance the police will ignore her, and a 2.5% chance he will go to prison.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
Your just as responsible
breadmakerquaker@reddit
This is a disgusting thing to say.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
You are as bad as a rapist and I hope you get what you deserve one day
breadmakerquaker@reddit
No my friend, just someone that been raped and therefore speaks from experience. Have the day you deserve!
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
I will because I actually help prevent
Own_Bluejay_7144@reddit
Oh, I thought you were asking serious questions. I didn't realize you were a troll. My bad.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
Literally as bad as the rapist

One of the hardest things after a SA is the aspect of fear and I wish there were a way to put that fear into the hearts and minds of the perpetrator.
In that spirit, I would (theoretically, not suggesting any of this) recommend a low key stalking campaign against this person. Similar to what has been described in other comments, but with the goal of a) making him question his social safety and b) making him question his personal safety.
Social safety speaks to what others already have: he sounds a bit like a narcissist, and that he thinks he’s untouchable, so I imagine it would feel pretty scary for him if everyone around him started believing bad things about him. Does he have a job? A guy he attends? A bar he frequents? I imagine all of those places would appreciate a “concerned citizen” giving them a heads up about a sexual predator in their midst. (You can create a phone number on Google voice and that way it won’t be traceable back to you.) Really commit - church, social organizations, anything and everything. SOMEONE is eventually going to start to treat him differently. And then another. And another. You get the picture.
And then the second half which is far more unethical - making him fear for his personal safety. Wait a little bit. Let the dust settle. Let him think “I got away with this!” Maybe he even forgets? But you haven’t. Small things become big things when they add up - a nail in a tire, a note on a car, dead bird on a doorstep. Of course, nothing that could be misconstrued as actually dangerous. Maybe even use that handy Google Voice number to make some heavy breathing calls when you know he’s alone?
Maybe he gets put on an ad on Craigslist for an escort service and then a few weeks later gets a note about if he’s enjoyed all the extra attention. Maybe he gets calls from the local health department about STI/STD testing that had his name listed as a former sexual encounter. Who knows where this goes and where it ends? I just hope he gets a little scared.
Stunning_Shake407@reddit
don’t do anything without the victims approval. what happens to the assaulter is the victims prerogative, not yours. i know it’s frustrating watching someone hurt a close friend, but trust me - i’ve been in the same situation as yourself. you may only end up making things worse for the victims if you go around them.
hunterman25@reddit (OP)
Needed to hear this. Thanks
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
You have a responsibility to the future victims to do something. If he does this again, you are morally culpable.
hunterman25@reddit (OP)
Worth noting the victim has reported it through the school. I know they've been relieved of their positions of power and I've personally reported the articles to the school as well. They are facing some consequences for this, I just want blood.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
Just saying letting a known sexual assaulter to go free, without informing authorities, is dooming everyone else.
What if he’s done this before and no one reported it then? They could have prevented this from happening to your friend.
You owe it to future victims to talk to the police.
breadmakerquaker@reddit
Let’s get one thing straight: Victims of sexual assault do not owe anyone anything. At. All.
You keep repeating this (about the need to act) yet our government and healthcare have failed SA victims again and again and again. So you can f right off with trying to insinuate that ANYONE is at fault for ANYTHING besides the rapist.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
You are just as bad as a rapist, as is anyone who doesn’t help prevent
RomulaFour@reddit
Seems like you could report this individual to the student conduct officer, whatever department that is. School codes of conduct usually make criminal activity like this ground for expulsion. Send in a copy of his 'article' too for an admission.
Weekly-Salamander950@reddit
Ok, I'm just throwing this out there because it's ethical in that it's the right thing to do but unethical in that you would be betraying your friend. Get some way for him to admit guilt and tell the police. If he did it once he WILL do it again
Weekly-Salamander950@reddit
Also, piss disks
breadmakerquaker@reddit
There it is!
Eastern-Astronomer-6@reddit
Get some friends together and do the same thing back to him. It's not gay if it's revenge.
blaspheminCapn@reddit
No kissing though.
hunterman25@reddit (OP)
I'm not willing to go to the lengths of assaulting them myself, as badly as I want to I can't take that risk. Can't be there for my friend if I'm in a cell.
Actual_Doughnut9248@reddit
Sure you can, it’s called congical visits

Ski masks and everyone wears Hawaiian shirts. Pull up next to him in a van, pull him in, give a little bit of fist ‘n’ foot shampoo, then send him out. It’s called “A Luau”
The_Great_Googly_Moo@reddit
A baseball bat and a ski mask with some zip ties can go a long way
GhostWalker134@reddit
A long way might be tough to pull off, but I'm betting you can insert at least a few inches.

Put a sock on the tip.

plungers are better for this. You can get it up there further.

Much_Independent9628@reddit
It's only assault if it's against a human being. Sexual predators are not human beings. At worst you'll be looking at cruelty to animals, and even then a jury would have to convict you still.
The_Great_Googly_Moo@reddit
It's only assault if u get caught or he's willing to go to the police. 😉
Beeebo0oop@reddit
Use that shit as evidence and call the police. There’s nothing worse than someone who lacks empathy and feels ownership over the bodies of others.
Latter_Inspector_711@reddit
Get their address, shouldn’t be too difficult.
Now start throwing Craigslist parties at their address. Post free bikes, cars, pets, tv, anything of value pick ups on marketplace and Craigslist. Just add directions like “knock loud, I am hard of hearing” or “the door should be open, come on in”
eveningseeker9@reddit
This is hilarious and incredible.
Latter_Inspector_711@reddit
Thanks! We did this to prank a friend and said we were giving his dog away for free, it lasted for a it a week of him freaking out saying things like “why the FUCK do people keep showing up to take my dog?!”
He never did find out…
Careless-Weather892@reddit
Make some flyers with their face on it with a short sentence or two about what they did. Make the words big and easy to read from a few feet away at least. Print out as many as you can and plaster their entire workplace with them. Inside bathroom stalls, hallways, place one under the windshield wipers in the employee parking area. Anywhere you can.
f1ve-Star@reddit
The friend will not love this either.
Careless-Weather892@reddit
Op doesn’t have to go into detail.
Vegaprime@reddit
I would add, the more effort you put in to this the more effect it might have. If it just looks like a grainy missing pet sign more people will just walk by.
ShapeyShifter@reddit
Fuck their dad
nuudootabootit@reddit
Find a photo of them online and put up posters all around their workplace overnight. Walking into work with everyone knowing you're a sex offender would make for a pretty bad day.
Nother1BitestheCrust@reddit
Has your friend asked you to do this?
Admirable_Tear_1438@reddit
Posters all over campus with his face and a list of his crimes.

Call the fucking cops and get them charged.
Why are you risking your life and freedom for ‘payback’, why are you now pretending to be Batman and fixing the wrongs you have decided to pursue.
Oh right, the simp in shining armour is going to get the girl!
hunterman25@reddit (OP)
oh be quiet man. the victim is my boyfriend and it's his own wishes to not involve police. i'm not about to subject him to that if he's not willing to.
tilldeathdoiparty@reddit
Maybe one of your magic elixirs will do the trick!

Sprinkle grapes and chocolate on the ground around their apartment
JJHall_ID@reddit
The best way, though not unethical, is to involve police. If the asshole even published an article admitting to it and not regretting it, that should go a long way in getting them some time as well as an entry on the offender list. Ultimately it's up to the victim to decide if they want to come forward to the police, and there are definitely legitimate reasons they may not want to.
4-3defense@reddit
Post that article everywhere you can. Buzzfeed social media. Turn him into Brock Turner expose this person
ggf130@reddit
If you have their phone number or are able to get it, sign the phone number to a escorting website, with a random dick pic or a fake female picture, or you could put up flyers with a sex message or something, put them in a danger zone in your neighborhood or somewhere you know prostitution is a thing

If this sub has taught me anything, it's that the answer is a piss disk
JerkyMcFuckface@reddit
Sometimes, violence IS the answer. This is one of those times. If you can’t bring yourself to participate in that, respect, just be there for your friend as much as you can.
This said, start a social media profile using this creep’s pics. Then make a post about how “you” did something bad and hurt someone, and youre sorry and won’t ever SA someone again. Do that on every social media platform you can. Include dating apps, and use his pic and that they are a SA artist. If you want more ideas, just reply. I’ll add some ideas.
