When's the last time you even saw one?
GenevieveLeah@reddit
I drove my Dodge Neon for a decade!
One-Earth9294@reddit
I owned an Intrepid until about 5 years ago. That's basically a Stratus. I'm not even really sure what the distinction is.
Solid car honestly. Had it for about 15 years and never gave me shit.
Cardiff-Giant11@reddit
don’t forget the second one, where he drives a mitsubishi galant.

Big time stuff!

"BIG TIME STUFF!"
larryb78@reddit
Well I sure hope you parked it in between a Pontiac Aztek and a Chrysler PT Cruiser
badmamerjammer@reddit
I had this or a cirrus back in the early to mid 00s
one day Iwas going to class (college) and smelled oil.
whatever. I parked and went into class.
came out an hour later and the car was burnt to a crisp and people told me it wa son fire and firemen came and axed the hood and put out the fire.
IceSmiley@reddit
I remembered Will Ferrell saying it but I thought it was from Old School
ipsumdeiamoamasamat@reddit
She changed her name to Kitty and bought a white Chrysler Lebaron.
MaxPowerrr85@reddit
I'm a division manager!! People are scared of me!! 😂
Mountain-jew87@reddit
We used to shout this around the house when my dad would yell at us
broke_fit_dad@reddit
Holy crap, one still runs!?
recksuss@reddit
I would rather drive Trish Stratus...
GuiltyPiglet5882@reddit
Statusfaction!
BlackshirtDefense@reddit
Had one back in the day.
Have fun changing the battery from out of the wheel well.

Took my drivers test in one back in the late 1900's
kheinrychk@reddit
Funny enough I tried to have a Sebring Convertible for my first car. Ended up with an MX-3 instead.
valdus@reddit
This morning. I was behind you when you pulled that dumbass move. Wish I had a dashcam.
FrostingAndCakeBread@reddit
What kind of wood was that!!!
jjmawaken@reddit
I used to have an intrepid
AliveInTheFuture@reddit
My dad was such a dickhead during the period of time those came out, and he owned a Stratus. My wife and I still say "I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS" whenever one of us feels the other is getting too egotistical about something.
7bucks_of_Hoobastank@reddit
GET OFF THE SHED!
thatwolfieguy@reddit
I had a couple of them. They were fun little cars.
I can do you one better though, I saw an Aerostar running down the road not too long ago.
AintNobody-@reddit
What's the modern version? I DRIVE A BUICK ENCORE!
OMEGA5_@reddit
I couldn't tell you when I saw one, but I did say this last week!
PsionicKitten@reddit
Well I had a Plymouth Breeze as my first car I bought off my parents. It's essentially the same car.
no_dice_grandma@reddit
Wow, I thought they had all gotten taken out by the other worst driver magnet car - the mitsubishi galant.
chueysworld@reddit
That was my dream car in high school. Or the dodge avenger.
dillyofapicklerick@reddit
I was always drooling over other kids' Pontiac Grand-Ams, mainly because they were always new cars and I drove a complete beater.
Wow, my views on cars back then were just terrible.
chueysworld@reddit
I found a clean GXP on fbmp the other day and almost pulled the trigger on buying it. They are still good looking cars.
SilverIsFreedom@reddit
I used to want a Dodge Neon when they came out. Was clearly a dumbass kid.
dillyofapicklerick@reddit
I mean, to be fair, I was driving a 1986 Chevy Cavalier wagon at the time. The doors were so rusted out that the bottoms were non-existent and the front passenger door was stuck shut.
CorgiMonsoon@reddit
My first car was an 89 Cavalier, two doors. I actually loved it until the heater core cracked and I was engulfed in fumes that smelled like burning paint
dillyofapicklerick@reddit
It was fun to drive, didn't get me wrong. It was just missing some of those features reserved only for luxury cars like a tape deck and air conditioning.
CorgiMonsoon@reddit
I swapped out the radio for a CD player! I was living in luxury, lol
SilverIsFreedom@reddit
1984 GMC Suburban for me… 10-12 mpg, but you could turn the back into a queen sized bed with the seats folded down. lol. Good times.
dillyofapicklerick@reddit
Nice!
Mine was a 5 speed manual and could actually accurate when I needed it, which as a teenager was all the time.
CorgiMonsoon@reddit
I wanted a Geo Tracker…
SilverIsFreedom@reddit
My classmates older sister rolled one her senior year on the highway - in the hospital for months but she survived. I thought they were sweet too, until my dad explained why I’d never ever own one.
Can_I_Offer_u_An_Egg@reddit
I had a Dodge Stratus in grade 11 and upgraded to a Grand Am GT1 in grades 12/13. I had that thing until 2014.
DoctorFenix@reddit
I had a Dodge Avenger.
I loved that car.
Can_I_Offer_u_An_Egg@reddit
The Stratus was your dream car? That's a sentence I never thought I'd read.
murfburffle@reddit
It's like a default car - what an AI would make if you just said "car"
iAmNotAfraid_Spiders@reddit
That reminded me of the Dodge Stealth, I think it had the same engine as the Mitsubishi 3000, and I remember seeing a few of those around in high school in the late 90s. Then I googled it, and apparently they've resurrected the name for the 2025 replacement to the Durango.
GoatTnder@reddit
I love the final line from SMG - "I hate you! Both."
dufflebag7@reddit
This reminds me of the tee-shirts in the Dark Tower books. I drive a Takuro Spirit! I drink Nozz-a-La Cola!
HTownGuero666@reddit
The last time I saw a Dodge Stratus was the day my oil-leaking, busted air conditioner, piece of shit Strat burned to the ground. It was an awful car but it was better than the nothing I drove for the next year!
ineptplumberr@reddit
Back in like 2000 I had one for a month while car was getting repaired. I did things in that rental that only racecars and 4x4 trucks should do
TopRedacted@reddit
Remember when the same car would come out but it would be sold as a Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler?
At one time I owner every name variant or the Neon. It was like pokemon but with motors that threw the timing chain at 99k miles.
No-Conversation-7840@reddit
I miss my Isuzu rodeo
jessupjj@reddit
Had to look this up...not a car guy... but a roommate circa 1999 had a trooper that I remember getting too-stoned-to-bowl in freshman year of college
eLishus@reddit
I would not recommend bowling in an Isuzu Trooper anyway. Too cramped.

metwreck@reddit
Not sure why that line in particular has lasted stuck in my head all this time but I’ll randomly think it (and of course then shout it out) at least a few times a year.
