Do you get compensated for drug tests?

I take 2 a year and it's annoying when i dont get notified until right after I use the bathroom. Or the crappy facility I get sent to I have to wait an hour to get it done. At any other job this would be on the clock and I would be getting paid for time wasted.

I just want to know what is the norm?

$20/hour. Better than nothing.

Also, ALWAYS check in with dispatch office BEFORE using the restroom. That way if you do get smacked with a random, you already have to pee.

Managed to get $20 out of my company last time, and I took the truck. They’ve gotten cheap in the last few months though, so we’ll see if they pay it next time.

My job pays for when they’re randoms or passing an inspection. I think it’s $75 for the drug test and $250 for the inspection.

OTR, no compensation. But the two megas I worked for had their own certified specimen collectors on staff. It took less than 10 minutes. The local jobs, I was on the clock earning hourly driving to and from and while at the collection lab.

If I get called into the terminal at random, and told to clock in, I know it is my turn for a random piss test. I then go to the facility, give a donation, return to my terminal, and then clock out. Yes, you should be on the clock when doing a drug test.
