Has anyone had to replace the hard drive inside a CK Gen 2 Plus and stuck a Seagate 4TB 2.5" full-height?
It looks like this, maybe it's half height...

I've replaced the HD in mine with a 'cuda 3TB ironwolf (before they went NOS) as the original drive caused heat concerns. I did use a replicator to complete the swap.
CK has been going strong since the swap for a solid year, no issues.

Whats a replicator?

sorry, I swap replicator with duplicator, I used an off the shelf duplicator to make the drive replacement painless.

do you need to duplicate the drive? One of the reasons why I want to replace it is that CK is saying there is a issue with the drive to remove it and replace it.

I don't believe you need to duplicate the drive. I recall looking over the drive replacement procedure from Unifi's support page, if I recall correctly, you swap the drive and reload your backup. The OS doesn't live on the drive.
Hope this helps!
