U.B.R. is better. I want to like this but just hear bad things
Sausage_Child@reddit
UBR Gen 1 is incredible and I'm glad I never sold mine.

No hate towards the dealer, but we must be going off the deepend if minimalist stocks cost $100+. Might have been considerable if the stock was built like a tank while maintaining minimalist and light weight, but the recent feedback suggests otherwise.

Yeah, I’m a little disappointed as the feedback. Thought this would be better based off my small experience and price point. Luckily we can still get Magpul CTR/DT and BCM gunfighter/sopmods for a decent price!

2¢ from someone who bought one: these are flimsy, do not feel smooth, and look cheap on your rifle. I recommend against them to everyone, and wish I hadn’t bought mine. This thing feels as though if you had to mortar your rifle, it would break instantly.
It seems like they probably designed something cool, and then compromised on materials and manufacturing to get the cost down, and the execution was just terrible. 1/5, maybe they switched it up in a newer version.

I’ve got one that’s been cerakoted. May be due to the cerakote tightening gaps, but mine feels solid and doesn’t wobble or feel flimsy. I really like it to be completely honest.

Hell yeah, glad you’re loving it my dude! Takes all kinds

yeah I was disappointed to hear similar when I was looking them up a while back.
Aesthetically and functionally they seemed like a neat change of pace, but the semi proprietary nature of some of the parts and the reviews pointing out the flimsy/non robust nature of them immediately talked me out of them.

I second this. I thought it would be cool. Mine is rough around the edges, hard to extend, even when trying to smooth it out. It's cheaply made

I actually rather like mine. It's a little odd looking but certainly stands out against other stocks. Mine has held up well on a 16" AR10. It's definitely not as sturdy as a VLTOR or B5, but I did have to mortar it on the ground (fully closed first) and it didn't break or show any sign of breaking.
This AR10 broke an EOTech while the stock was on for whatever that's worth too lol

Interesting, how long have you had it? I have not had any range time with it, but handled several rifles with this stock during shot show and I thought it felt nice, similar to the old Magpul UBR. Maybe there was an update?
Famanche@reddit
Everything I've heard about these is negative, they're especially flimsy and the stock 'slips' easily. Here's a good video showing how bad the lockup is:

lol pass

This was like exactly my experience, I’m glad it’s out there for people to see. Thanks bruv

Yeah that doesn't look good.
