I love this movie. It's my favorite Christmas movie. I try to watch it every year.

There are a few different cuts, though. Like a "director's cut" and an "extended cut," and they're not the same. I can never remember which one is my favorite. One cut has a couple extra scenes and lines of dialog that I frickin' love -- they're among my favorite moments in the movie -- so I'm always disappointed when I picked the wrong version and they're not there.

Never seen the sequel. Never will. I refuse to acknowledge its existence.

Badder Santa is definitely my preferred one, it has more of the raunchy scenes and dialogues. I watch it every Christmas.

The sequel wasn't terrible, but it's not a rewatch like the first one is.

Man I love this movie and have owned it since my 20s. I went to see this in the theater with one buddy and a bunch of Sparks. Wasn't having the best time that year and was home from school. There was a total of about 6 people in that theater, and we were all dying. The noise those 6 people made when BBT asks after a pause "Your name is Thurman... Thurman Merman?" I really needed that unexpected night.
