Aside from my own, I only remember ever seeing one other one on the road in my life. And I'm 35 now and owned a 5th Gen GTS Celica back in high school, so I'm always looking.

I do have a hood, it's just not on the car so I could get behind the engine easier. Although I'd pay a healthy amount for an original CS hood.

Good luck with snagging one. I don't know where you are in the world but I only see one or two sell a year in the United States.

When I bought it, it was a misfire. Turned out to be an injector. Then, discovered the turbo was shot. Now the clutch doesn't quite engage properly, and it's got a vac/boost leak somewhere around the TVIS in the intake manifold that's just a nightmare to get to.

Not to mention the rust on the rockers and nasty yet-undiagnosed clunk in the rear that I think is a sway bushing.

Fired right up after not starting for 5 years, though. Plan to work on it over winter.

If you haven’t got the spare time for a project, set $50-100 aside per month you don’t touch it. Then suddenly you’ll end up with the money for that one part you needed, or enough to take it to a tuner and get a second set of eyes/hands on the problem.

Pretty rare color, isn't it? I saw 283 produced in that color somewhere but I have no way to verify.

It's an authentic CS bumper but it still has the regular hood. I really like that CS replica hood from Carbon Microsystems though, .ight go that way eventually, although it'd cost a fortune to get it from the UK to Minnesota. The factory hood is sooo heavy
