I’m sure the font is intentional to evoke traditional Korean calligraphy ink strokes or something honorable and appropriate, but… it just looks like someone freehand painted “KOREA” on the side…
The font combines elements of calligraphy used in several historically important documents like hunminjeongeum (where the Korean alphabet was first introduced), the Korean declaration of independence etc. It looks fine in Korean but the English “equivalent” is pretty funky…at the same time, having two separate fonts would also look strange imo.
Yeah the “KOREA” font on the side makes it look like some sort of tourism branding for South Korea. Unlike AF1, E-4Bs, and AF2 with “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” in the same font as the Declaration of Independence which evokes professionalism.
It looks like comic sans. And that red/blue split in the cheat line creates an optical illusion that makes the fuselage appear bent. Such a terrible paint job for such a beautiful airplane.
Just the basic off the shelf LIRCM pod on the bottom. Maybe some ECM on the tail. I always like to see who's rocking counter measures and who's not with these aircraft.
Korea only leases its presidential planes from Korean Air. So, the even the internal modifications don't go as deep as other countries where the government owns the plane.

I remember seeing that beast brand spanking new on its way to Korea sitting on the ramp in Dubai years ago. It still looks just as clean. 😮💨

Why does the lettering look like it was hand painted by someone who didn't have a ruler in the entire shop?
