Good, love seeing the burning of all of this race/DEI rhetoric. It benefits nobody and creates this victim culture that permeates all of reddit nowadays. Learn history, learn about biases and how your students might come from different backgrounds to better educate them, but "equity" is inherently unamerican garbage.

"one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
If anything is unAmerican here, it would be your words.

Your quote is based around equality — equity by nature of forcing the same outcome on individuals gets in the way of equality. It’s a simple difference fundamentally.

My quote is from the Pledge of Allegiance.

Yes I’m sure nobody missed that, doesn’t change my comment

This is a moronic take. They're literally being forced to change class names just because they have the word "race" or similar in them. That's idiotic.
And you very clearly have no idea what DEI is. It has nothing to do with "victim culture," whatever that is in your bizarre world.
CostRains@reddit
Yeah, you try doing that.

You seem to think you're normal but I think the normal take is not caring nearly as much as you do about this stuff.
Icecoldruski@reddit
The normal take would be to not care enough to not push it in the first place.

All twisted up in your feelings huh? If you did read history you'd learn how incredibly important these policies are; yes how they're abused but to say equity is an un-American term is just plain stupid. God I'm typing this and feeling dumber for even trying to argue a point that's falling on deaf ears. So, just plain and simple, for the whole class, do you think america is inherently a place of equality in am equal way for all its citizen's? Please share your work, and Infowars isn't a source.

Who hurt you ?

If we are not careful then we will end up like California. Good to hear the faculty is pushing back.

Username checks out. 😂

Mind explaining that?
NieBer2020@reddit
What do you mean?

Kind of a dead issue since they are being required to remove DEI initiatives paid for by the institution.
