Job Relocating me to Dublin, Ireland from USA

My job is offering me a huge professional chance if I relocate to our Dublin office. Details have not been ironed out but would love some input. I lived in Germany (Frankfurt) and England (N Yorkshire) for most of the 00s, so I've been an expat before and I'm not really worried about that. I have a hobby that will quickly gain me local friends etc (horses) and I'm generally good at assimilating into local cultures. I am extremely lucky in that I will make enough money that things like housing etc will be ok, even though we'll obviously have to downsize.
My biggest worry is healthcare for my family. My daughter has a rare disease that requires specialized care. I am able and willing to fly (or ferry etc) to another country for that care for her but the medicines she's on need to be given via IV every month. Also both my husband and daughter are on ADHD meds that are not available in Ireland and it looks like Ritalin is the only available stimulant which doesn't work for either of them. Again, can we go to another country to get them? And this isn't a every country that isn't USA has crap healthcare (our healthcare is a farce so trust me this is not that), this is a I've been reading a lot about the Irish healthcare system and it seems to be lacking compared to other EU countries especially with doctor availability (at a minimum we will need access to an Oncologist, Rheumatologist and Psych). Maybe what I'm reading (here and internet at large) is being overly alarmist?

If I were you I'd go for the private option, though you would need private health insurance-much like the States. Again, the better doctors are in private health but you usually have to pay a lot more for the services. Again, it's much like the US in that respect.

My understanding is finding private doctors is a struggle I'll have two private insurances one through my work and one through Tricare (though they only reimburse)

It doesn't sound like Dublin would be a good idea for them.

American in Dublin here - the healthcare really is that terrible. I have private insurance and it took me 6 months just to see a basic OBGYN. You’ll probably still be looking at at least 400 euros per month on health insurance for the family, and that doesn’t guarantee you appointments.
If you are moving with animals and horses, there is zero chance you will rent in Dublin City, meaning healthcare will be either easier or harder to access in the surrounding villages based off their GP wait times.

I’d say in Dublin, the housing crisis really won’t ease up until you are paying €4000/month (source, just moved to Dublin) p

That's what I was expecting to may per month so I'm ok can go a bit more if necessary.

Just saw you have four dogs? That’s going to really make your hosting search more challenging, especially with a reactive one that’s 100+ lbs.
Is your company giving you a relocation agent?

But wanted to add, I don't really want to even start to tackle the dogs if I can't get over the healthcare hurdle.

I now only have 2 dogs the reactive dog was BE after working with our vet and trainer. And unfortunately my 13yo has crossed the bridge (a lot has happened in the time I wrote the dog training one). Getting the 145lb great dane is gonna cost a fortune (looks like around $7800) but he's a good boy. And the horse is surprisingly the easiest to get across (though the 32% vat is gonna kill me). Work will pay for all moving expenses. And yeah I'm not sure about renting with a 145 lb dog, but he is a good boy, we'll figure out something....
