Badminton

Hi everyone,
I'm a casual badminton player living in central MK. Where do people normally play badminton and how much does it cost you?
I have been playing at Shenley Leisure centre, been trying to register for a membership for a discount when I book a court, but have had no luck. (Can't speak to anyone on the phone, left emails and voicemails and no one got back. Went there in person and someone told us to come back next day to do the registration in person, next day I came back and was told to do it online, and nothing worked online).

Were you able to find mates and book a court per hour instead of hourly for a person ? Does it make the cost a bit cheaper ?

I normally play with a friend. At Shenley it's £17.50 if you are not a member. The annual pass gives you £15 an hour, so that would be quite good, but getting through to someone to do the membership is a nightmare.

The National Badminton Centre in Loughton, of course: https://www.badmintonengland.co.uk/nbc/

How much does per court cost for an hour if we are a group of 4 ?

Thank you for this. I am aware of the NBC, so being a cheap skate I am, I'm looking for other places that may be slightly cheaper as well.

It does seem a touch obvious but you're right.

The Open University also has a club that is open to the public, they meet Mondays and Wednesdays I believe! Used to love going!

Kents Hill Nuffield have a regular session that comes recommended. Get in touch with them for details.

Woughton leisure centre has a badminton court that you can book for sessions at £12 per 30 mins. Check their website.

Wow £12 per 30 mins is quite expensive compared to other places right? Thanks for the info.

Sorry it’s £12.50 for one hour session. Not 30 mins

That's much better then, thank you. I'll check it out after work.
