Looking for an upgrade

I can't exactly decide on what upgrade would be best. I have this. I used buildzoid's low effort timings. I'm thinking about 1440p OLED or a 7900xt. I've wanted more fps than I'm getting now. I've read that OLED is a noticable improvement over IPS panels and I'm not sure where I can go to see the difference for myself. Help me out?

Monitor upgrade will give you the biggest upgrade in terms of visual quality. OLED has the best contrast and pixel responses, the only downside is burn-in. The optimal usage is a second monitor for gaming/movies only, keep your desktop and apps on a different display.
Your CPU and GPU are both fast enough that I would wait 1 more generation before replacing them.

I would use 2 monitors but I only have the space for 1. You think the OLED would still be good as a main?

OLED as a main monitor makes burn-in inevitable. It might take 2-3 years to reach a noticeable level but it will happen eventually.
The middle ground option is an IPS panel with backlight array. The downside of such models is that blooming when using HDR + local dimming can be annoying. The overall contrast performance is much better than a native IPS panel however, even surpassing a VA panel without local dimming.
