Hello all,

I hope this is a good place to post this... it's been on my mind off and on the past few years...

In the 1990's I would say, prob 1996-1998 I had a C-band Big Dish, and there was a channel I really liked called "Computer Television Network" It was a lower budget channel, prob on a 12 hour or so rotation.. It wasn't the Jones Media ppl. I do not think.

They had a variety of different shows, and bumper segments with a younger bearded fellow who's last name was "Robinson" that was called "Computer Improvement Tips" and then same guy taught little tips on application use and browser use tips.

As well as a blonde woman (who may be related to him) named A.J. Robinson. i do not remember if she co-hosted or had her own stuff.

They had a show I think it was called "The Old Guys" which one of the hosts was a founder of Oracle Systems. talked about the old wild west days of computers and magnetic core memory and punch cards IIRC.

They had other shows: 30 min segments IIRC

Business and productivity- (they used a big projection screen TV/Monitor, and really touted ACT! 3.0 and this was when Win95 was rolling out.

Gaming show... With 2 guys hosting chatting and reviewing games of the day

A Computer Book Program, had 2 women that reviewed computer books.

Various segments on other computer topics.. and I do not think they had commercials.

I got to watch some great coverage of COMDEX 96 and they were talking about the new DVD and how it could store so much data, to where they thought it would be a one disc for all... you buy one with a movie on it.. watch it... put in a player and u have the soundtrack, or put in PC and you can play a game related to the IP/movie.

They also did a great interview on Linux with the creator Linus Torvalds.. and he was like in his mid 20's?

I have searched the net all over, and unless i am using the wrong keywords, its like the net just erased its existence. At the time, there was no ZDTv, or the likes. and my C Band Came with EVERY channel avail on all the sats of the day... even premiums HBO, SHOW, MAX, etc. (well, lss the XXX ones!)

while it was low budget, i learned a bit about HTML creation with notepad!

Surely I wasn't in some kinda alt-reality LOL does this ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks in advance!
