Saw in a trucking group I just.... Where do people think they're gunna get a truk for like basically free? Better yet an expensive truk .... "Hey I don't have 10k to put down but I can put it to work" ...
...... Dawg lmao
Eidolon82@reddit
Clearly in it to impress males, and not to make money, or he'd have come up with a down payment or be willing to take any POS that'll run the miles.
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
Seriously. He said he has $75k cash for the first month of operating costs but doesn't want to put fuel on credit..
... Just buy a white Volvo for <$30k lol? Idk
UhOhAllWillyNilly@reddit
I think you could get one for a fraction of that amount.
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
But he only wants a Pete or kw a A REAL TRUCK
UhOhAllWillyNilly@reddit
I meant old Vulvas are like around $8 G’s (or less, since that’s the value of the scrap metal at a recycler), not $30K.

Is the dude who posted this named Richard
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
Nope. A "Nick"
Sdwars45@reddit
Damn i was gonna call him and make fun of him
SeaRow556@reddit
This is insulting, this aint "our" truck, bud. I'm all for helping someone out but this is guilt tripping beyond belief. These trucks costs money. I'm sure this same person reached out to Catherine macmillion hopping to get one of daves trucks.
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
It's insane. Really. Not only do they cost money but he's not willing to have 10-20k down.. what's he gunna hypothetically do when something breaks and it needs a $3k tow and a $4k repair?

I mean if that isn't fake, they need some mental health help. The entire thought process in that post is so disconnected from reality or any kind of logic, or basic understanding of society or the world or anything... I'm not sure how they put pants on in the morning without help.
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
Oh he is very very real...
8 don't think any of what he says is remotely true because it's so contradictory. I'd be willing to bet his mechanic experience is a tire guy at loves at best.

Bro’s just another failed O/O waiting to happen.
FloppyTacoflaps@reddit
Im pretty sure he already failed
Plantherblorg@reddit
Step one of trucking is having access to a truck.

Reaching for the stars with his ass still firmly planted in the mud.
chrisp_ape@reddit
Is this the line for the free truck?
ThisUnitHasASoul@reddit
After 7 years as a truck driver I wouldn’t even take one for free lol
Virel_360@reddit
Not even willing to go out for 3 to 6 months under a company truck to make the deposit money. Absolute lowlife loser.
Thick-Background4639@reddit
How about going to a bank. Give the loan officer the same line and see how far it goes.
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
Oh well we know why. Guilting someone into giving you a $100k loan you have no intention of paying back doesn't fly at Wells Fargo.
turbotaco23@reddit
He’ll make a couple payments and then he’ll be a ghost.
CousinsWithBenefits1@reddit
"cmon man i just don't have it this month, what happened to us, we used to take care of each other bro! I'll have it next month, I promise!..... It might be a little late, me and the ol lady are going to Gulfport.
Thick-Background4639@reddit
You are correct.

If I had 5 years diesel mech experience, I'd be at a shop. Home every day. Predictable schedule. Local!
Auquaholic@reddit
Surely you jest.
William-Burroughs420@reddit
If you want to make a million dollars being an OO, you start with 2 million dollars!
All joking aside I started as an independent OO with about 75k cash.
You absolutely need to start with a big cash reserve and even then it probably won't matter in the long run. It's a losing proposition.
darkspear356@reddit
Driving for 10+ years and doesn’t have 10k to his name lord have mercy. Don’t gamble kids.
HM02_High@reddit
Driving for 5 years and 5 as a diesel mechanic. Hopping that bitch up the road and back for a road test is hardly driving.
Ok_Negotiation4465@reddit
Hopefully nobody falls for this. If he wants out of a loan it's because his credit is bad. Absolutely insane to post something like that and expect a positive response.
mxadema@reddit
Our local mega here will. Buy a new truck on a line of credit from them, and they will employ you.
Once it payed off, they will ask you to upgrade.
They have everything calculated, tire, maintenance, fuel.
The catch is that you are stuck with them, and your take home (also calculated) is terrible.
K1d-ego@reddit
I guarantee if you offer this guy a 10 speed T680 he’ll turn it down. He wants a REAL KW or Pete.
fatherting@reddit
If you don't have the down payment, you're not ready to drive. Before I was an O/O I saw a video saying it's best to have 40k in your pocket after purchasing a truck for the what ifs. I didn't listen, fucked around and found out it was relatively true. I'm sure many operators started out with way less, but in my opinion, I should have listened. Not even 10k in my pocket would make me feel comfortable to drive. That's why my truck is parked, I'm at a company, and it won't be on the road until I pay it off (due to spontaneous breakdown) and have some money. Some people like to roll the dice, and personally, I'm tired of doing that.
Bibbimbopp@reddit
The people with long noses generally give nothing for free.
hooligan-6318@reddit
LoL!
Yeah buddy
xDoomKitty@reddit
Dude wants to be picky with a truck he doesn't front collateral for.. loooool
Naborsx21@reddit (OP)
Someone asked him how he's gunna pay for it , and he said he has $75k cash for first month of operating costs and doesn't wanna use credit for fuel...
But $10k down is too much... I mean
If you'd like to let me use your truck for free and a guarantee I'll fuck you. Hit me up
Lavasioux@reddit
He's not wrong, but...
Such a bad sign when the favor seeker is shaming any caution. Such a bad bad baaaad sign.
If they'll do that before rhe favor, imagine how low they'll stoop after the favor: "Oh pardon me for not making the payment on time when I've had food poisioning/bad back/ear ache/ truck wont start/ been in jail/ etc etc...
