Any heroes in here?! Good, then let’s jump!
For anyone else wondering what could have been:
The Exo Squad wiki quotes the showrunners about what might have been. Also, they talked about how the show could have been revisited if DVD sales were high enough.
Props to you for picking up the DVDs o7

I watched the series again. It's on peacock. SOOO MANNY DEATHS. In cartoons, they usually don't show you everybody that is going to die in the building. The funniest scene to me is when they tell prisoners they are sending them to Venus to work at the camps. Then the clones dump them on a course to the sun. They say, "Why would we want trouble makers around?"
biloxibluess@reddit
The toys were so cool

I remember Tiger Sharks! Now that I re-watch the into it's a pretty obvious Thundercats ripoff but oh well.

We have a "regular" TV channel called MeTV. Every Saturday morning they do old school cartoons, and they feature the old ones like Bugs and Friends and Looney Tunes and stuff.
Lately they added another channel called MeTOONS. It's just cartoons all the time. Saturday morning at 7 and 730 there's back to back episodes of Captain Planet on. Me and my boy watch it together and he loves it.
Neon_1984@reddit
Captain Planet at 5:35PM on WTBS before WCW Main Event came at 6:05 was the place to be.
Hot_Potential_3165@reddit
I forgot about the 5 minute offset time slots!
Neon_1984@reddit
I read the backstory on this recently actually! The origin was that Ted Turner (who owned WTBS) was irritated that almost nobody showed up on time for anything anymore so if he thought if he started his shows five minutes late like 6:05 he would catch all the stragglers who couldn’t make it to their 6PM shows on time.
stand_up_eight_@reddit
Oh how I LOVED this show. It made me care a lot about the planet, doing small things in my life to make a difference overall. I really took the lessons to heart. And the song is still so catchy.

Nadathug@reddit
I loved watching Banana Man and Danger Mouse, because it meant I was up past my bedtime. For that same reason, I would sneak out of bed to watch Nick At Night, because I thought the fact it was on super late made it “cool”. They were just old reruns from the 50s lol. But I genuinely liked BM and DM. Could do a pretty mean British accent when I was 6, which confused the hell out of my parents.

It’s about a baby seal and it’s human friend who is a little boy. All I really remember is that the seal is being frequently chased by a boat that has a bad man with a club that wants to club the seal.
It was a French made cartoon that was translated into English. I recall that my brother and I only caught it a handful of times on Saturday mornings and for some reason I’m recalling that it was shown on HBO which we had occasionally when the cable company would do its once a year week long free HBO as like a trial
