I ponied up the cash for the replacement aluminum unit from LRB speed. It's a little too expensive for what it is but it's still the cheapest option and will last forever.

Also - you can get the entire dash board assembly for a Gen 2.5 ram. I forget where but I saw a company selling the core plastic piece that all the other bits snap on to when searching for a replacement for my Gen 2 and I don't remember it being obnoxiously expensive. LMC truck will sell you all the other bits you need and you should have the ability to put a brand new dash in.
