27M // Best weekday neighborhood bar?

Looking for one of those spots to grab a beer and a bite after work. With similar mid-late 20s/early 30’s type crowd. Not really looking for super loud music. Something chill.
Preferably uptown ish
mrman33000@reddit
Someone said uptown pub, and state & Allen. Would recommend both of those as well. You should also look into nodding donkey and the standard pour as well.
spookyscaryskeletal@reddit
I wouldn't say Nodding Donkey for chill right now haha we can hear them down the street on game days

Cosmo’s. Great ‘upscale dive’ with a pretty solid vibe and surprisingly good Vietnamese food.
Luka_Vander_Esch@reddit
The food is so good. Hidden gem for sure

Zippers still open?
BroccoliTechnical604@reddit
No, but Oil Can Harry’s is.

I agree with everything everybody said and I’m going to throw in the loon
ReefLedger@reddit
I miss living above the new Loon. Go downstairs and have 2 cocktails and some food and I was good!
rougefalcon@reddit
I miss the old Loon, thanks for the memory!!
Version_Popular@reddit
You have memories?? I lost all memory after two drinks... everytime!!! 😉😊

Beautiful pour there. Haven’t been to the new spot but maybe I need to

If The Old Monk is still like it was in 2006, The Old Monk is a solid workingmans dive
Longstrongandhansome@reddit
There’s an old monk in bishop arts area now too
Htgn2dallas@reddit
Uptown pub’s patio is pretty chill.
Many-Screen-3698@reddit
Pros: they don’t skimp on their drinks Cons: Usually one bartender so it’s slow to get a drink when crowded, bathroom line
siamishere@reddit
I would say Old Monk, great food, drinks and service. They also have a location in Oak Cliff now

Lee Harvey's isn't that far away. Pretty chill in the courtyard on weekday afternoons.
