It came out of the gate hot, but seemed like the combination of COVID and bigger issues in/around Deep Ellum dulled the buzz a bit.

Also, I am not sure the owners, who are from Denton, play the restaurant/bar PR game the same way as operators who cut their teeth in the Dallas scene. Which is a plus in my book.

This is the correct way to pour beer in order to release all of the carbonation. Also, this beer looks like a nitro, which amplifies the head similar to a Guinness.

I work in craft beer taphouses and can confirm that it's a nitro. The bubbles will eventually settle to where the lighter foam is near the top of the glass. The head is correct on this one for sure.

The foam on top is considered "head". Most people don't like beer poured with much head but some sophisticates like it. I'm more of a basic bitch and don't care for it.
