ULPT Request for someone dying

Let's say that you knew you only had a few months to a year left to live. Can I hear your best ULPT for this situation? hypothetically.

This sounds like the start of a movie, I say you should journal everything you do. Make it so at some point someone will be able to post it / make it known? Just an idea. I would read it.

I can’t remember if it was this sub or another one, but I swear I just saw a story about a grandma who knew she was terminal. So she took out loans, and maxed out credit cards. She gave the money to friends and family to pay for school and debt and such. She had used her house as collateral for the loans, but her house was a dump, and she had advised her adult children to just let the bank reclaim it after she passed since it wasn’t worth much anyways. If you decide to go this route, make sure you don’t use it to gift a car for example, as that will just be taken by the bank after the catch on to what happened. The money has to be used on intangible things (pay off debt, vacations, living expenses) that can’t be repossessed, etc.

I appreciate the response, thank you!

Study the Quran. I’m serious!
citywidespecialx5@reddit (OP)
Ehh I don't hate myself. There's much more i would rather read.
Skellyhell2@reddit
Why read a book that glorifies a man who married a 6 year old when he was 53? I suppose he did wait until she was 9 before having sex, that almost makes the quran not a terrible thing...
atypicaldiversion@reddit
They want to enjoy their remaining time, not waste it.
LostSoul945@reddit
Reading a book can never be a waste. It’s sad to see how much we’ve been brainwashed
atypicaldiversion@reddit
There are good books and bad books. Unfortunately, your recommendation falls under the "poorly written and in many ways terrible" category of books.
You need to amended your sentence. It should read:
"Its sad to see how much u/LostSoul945 has been brainwashed into recommending trash to actual people."

Get on hospice care for lots of painkillers. Hope for attractive nurses.
citywidespecialx5@reddit (OP)
Done.

If you don't care about leaving a debt hole..
Lease awesome new car or kickass RV. Max out certain credit and live like Fred Savage Travel with credit.
Edogardo00@reddit
if the banks know you are terminally ill they will never lease you anything + if he has some money he want to leave to someone the bank will just take them
JesusChrist_Himself@reddit
might backfire if there's a possibility for recovery
Red_Like_Ruby@reddit
If I was terminal it wouldn't be the illness that killed me

You could look into hard drugs to feel nice for your last few months hypothetically.
mrselfdestruct066@reddit
People seem to be big fans of heroin
pinkponyroan@reddit
Steal money from someone you don't like, blow the money before getting caught. Travel, drugs, whatever.
mrselfdestruct066@reddit
Be a bummer to get caught and spend your last year in jail though
wireswires@reddit
What do you like to do / want to see or visit? Get money per comments here. Hire a personal assistant / guide / nurse and go / see / visit those things with their help.
Secret-Tackle8040@reddit
Me personally I'd be racking up debt at every opportunity, settling scores with scorched earth measures and potentially engaging in a bit of "activism" via extreme methods.
citywidespecialx5@reddit (OP)
Its not "extreme" by any stretch, but i plan for my funeral to as "in lieu of flowers - please consider donating to the aclu or planned parenthood" because i believe in it, and its a subtle dig at the pear clutcher's lol
moomooraincloud@reddit
The pearl clutcher's what? And who's the pearl clutcher?
atypicaldiversion@reddit
Are you planning something or is this natural causes?
If its just an unfortunate card pull, max out every credit card and line of credit you have doing the things you want to do.
If youre planning something, following the above advice is known to make you realize that your plan isnt worth it and leaves you with a tonne of debt to pay back.
citywidespecialx5@reddit (OP)
Genetic disease. So a long time is coming.at least I had a lot of time to adjust to the idea haha
atypicaldiversion@reddit
Ah, i gotcha. Then i wish you nothing but the best in your endeavour. Live it up and have fun! 🤘
Kendaren89@reddit
Take biggest loan you can and spend it to something that means something to you. Or maybe give it to charity
Electrical_Sun_7116@reddit
Take out the biggest loan you can and lease a sweet car. Go to Vegas and have a 10 way with 9 girls. I dunno man, what are you into?
citywidespecialx5@reddit (OP)
Haha thats what im looking to hear. I have no dependents, im and in my 30s. Only thing is im not too mobile, and travel is probably not in the cards
Wide-Entrepreneur-35@reddit
Think bigger - you could hire your mobility for the duration of this trip.
SmurfSmurfton@reddit
so... whats the request? what to do with that time?
citywidespecialx5@reddit (OP)
I mean there has to be advantages of knowing that you're dying relatively soon. Open lines of credit? Mary someone looking for citizenship. Things like that, I guess. That's why I asked, I figure someone has somehting good
