An 89 K1500 pulling an 88 CRX

I'm in the middle of putting on a new head gasket and various seals. I can't wait to drive this bad boy. It leaks oil and smokes a ton. But, the engine sounds fantastic.

80's CRX's, so hot right now.
RRC Restoration channel is my favorite so far.
That VGG feller just drove one home too.

I was on the hunt for a project car earlier this year and had it narrowed down between a third gen Camaro and a CRX (I know, they're nothing alike). I ended up getting the Camaro but watching VGG's video has been making me rethink my decision. The CRX just looks like so much fun!

Good luck! I just had to fire sale a 3rd gen camaro (moms old car) project that was sitting in my driveway for 7 years. I am more of a 80's nissan guy, but wouldn't kick a 90 Prelude out of the driveway if one were to appear in its place :)

CRX is a fine automobile 🚗

Oh, good.
I just saw a Dodge pickup towing a BMW. I couldn't figure out if one was pulling or one was pushing. Or maybe the world was just turning.

Love it! one of the most fun cars to drive.

Man, I haven't seen a CRX that clean since The Fast and the Furious 27.

Your bed mounts or cab mounts are experiencing some sort of issue. Sick color though.

Yep. It's on the list of things to address. I got the truck for $800 and am slowly going through it. But, it already owes me nothing with what I have used it for.
Informal_Aspect_6330@reddit
Anything I find near me for $800 has ran in a decade or is rusted to hell.
donald7773@reddit
People really sleep on old pickups. Super easy to work on, parts are plentiful and cheap, and anything made in the 80s and up is comfortable enough to drive regularly. I got a 96 ram for 1500 bucks and I've been abusing it for 5 years now.
Oshawott51@reddit
I've owned several of this generation of GM truck, the cab mount rubber is rotten and the back sags down.

I just pulled a 92 Accord with a 91 Suburban.
Gotta keep it era correct lol

When I bought my 74 Datsun, I pulled it home with my 72 C10, I agree lol
point50tracer@reddit
I towed my sisters 1970 Mercury Montego home behind my dad's (now mine unfortunately) 72 C-10.

Keep em working, its what they are meant for. Sorry about your pop, i am sure he is smiling down on you every time you turn that key.
point50tracer@reddit
I'm not turning the key at the moment. The cab is sitting in my garage. The bed and frame are in my backyard. I have several years worth of work to do before it's back together. I'm going to do what my dad always wanted to do with it.
cookiemonster101289@reddit
Awesome… I need to do the same with mine but I enjoy driving it to much lol
point50tracer@reddit
I got lucky on that point. My dad had already started stripping the truck down. I also had my 68 Mustang running, so my driving itch was scratched.

Both my sisters owned baby blue 88 CRX at the same time. One was an HF and the other was an Si. I ended up with the HF. Wish I still had it!
eckard82@reddit
Bro that is in great condition! Congrats

That’s a mint CRX nice find.
OgenFunguspumpkin@reddit
Best car I ever owned was an ‘87 CRXsi. By a country mile. I’ve had Ferarris, Porsches, a number of British sports cars but that one? The perfect car.
nsgiad@reddit
I had a 90 Si that was stolen years and year ago, I miss that car.
mrntd@reddit
I loved my CRX Si. It was the most fun car I’ve owned.
WTT89@reddit
