plse educate me the benefit of this "ultralight" 556 upper. losing accuracy immediately after 5 rounds?

.22lr and 9mm ppls need the ultralight uppers since they are using them for competitions and are chasing split second transition. is there such competition for 556?

some folks might just want a light inexpensive plinker to tote around deer camp or toss in their 4wheeler/sidebyside and shoot stuff like yotes and beavers as necessary. Also lighter weight allows room for more weight to be used on attachments like beers, chainsaws, f16s, tanks, etc.

You're overestimating the effects of heat. Also if someone is really concerned about how quickly a barrel heats up or whether it's sub moa they aren't buying a no name brand barrel build. Anyone outside of PRS guys this will work fine.

I mean you got 2 gun and 3 gun, maybe. Also accuracy going down after five rounds really depends on barrel quality. Group size opening would be expected is all.

Seeing as I've been shopping the market for putting together a lightweight upper, can anybody tell me what I'm missing?

$80 or less barrel

$60 or less upper

$50 or less handguard

$30 or less gas tube/block (unless this is some super special lightweight gas block)

maybe some of those individual parts are at closeout prices that aren't indicative of dealer cost?
