2021 RAV4 Hybrid vs 2022 Tucson Hybrid?

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this group and excited to connect with you all. I'm looking to buy a used hybrid car within a budget of $25,000 to $28,000.
I've narrowed down my options to two cars: the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. I've taken both for a spin (although I drove the non-hybrid RAV4).
I love both cars, but I'd love to hear from owners who have long-term experience with either model. What should I look out for? Which one do you think is a better car?
I've read great reviews on Consumer Reports and other platforms, but I value your personal feedback and recommendations.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Rav4 all day, I recommend testing a hybrid one since the hybrid models feel much quicker and smoother than the gas models. Also if you are ever concerned with resale, Toyota hybrids hold their value exceptionally well.

Do you think the below is a good deal considering the miles?

Yea thats a great price! Consider the fact it wont depreciate much more over the next 2-3 years as well. The hybrids are very popular so if you find one you like jump on it.

Hey!
I'm considering the XLE model, but I'm curious about your experience with the XSE model. Since you're a long-term owner, I'd love to know:
How often do you use the extra features in the XSE?
A simple rundown would be super helpful! Thanks!

I think the XSE is worth it if you like a sportier look. Mine also has the digital gauges which are nicer looking. The XSE also has a different suspension so it rides a little firmer

Just general advice... In my area, 2024 Tucsons hybrids are on sitting on lots 3-4k off sticker... So you can get one new for 30-31k. Obviously I don't know about your area... But why is that relevant? Because with Hyundai the original warranty is 10yr 100k miles ... But that's only good for original owner. Second hand Hyundai warranty drops to 5yr/60k. So you might find a situation where you can get a 24 for not that much more as the 2022... And have 10 year warranty instead of only ~ 2 years left on warranty

What if I can get a certified pre-owned Tucson and and they could transfer the remaining miles or the warranty for the remaining years? Would that be a good idea??

When I bought my CPO Tucson I was conferred the remaining original 10yr/100k powertrain warranty, as well as 5yr/50l bumper to bumper. This was on a 2016 CPO Tucson bought in 2020.

What has been your experience with your Tucson?

It’s been good! I did have the double clutch replaced under warranty, but I’m in a smaller city, so I’ve not had the troubles of long waits and no loaners available at the dealership that I’ve read about. All things considered it’s been a nice, affordable car and Hyundai has held up their end of the warranty bargain so I can’t complain! I would not buy a used Hyundai unless it’s CPO.
Though if price is very close, conventional wisdom would say go RAV4, but I think you’ll be happy with either (assuming the Hyundai is a CPO).

Thank you for your honest feedback.

That's an excellent question for the sales person. Every brand does the certified stuff differently.

Buy the RAV. Hyundai are not known for lasting.

Is this a good deal ?

Nice ride. Test drive one before you commit. Hybrids whistle, and I would not want to listen to that.

If they're the same price and similar mileage, the Toyota is the gold standard of hybrids and will last a heck of a lot longer

I checked online and below is my analysis
Now I'm more confused than ever!
jrileyy229@reddit
Absolutely, if these are the only two options I'm buying the Toyota I'm only buying a Hyundai for the ten year warranty and I'm going to expect it has very little value after that.
