Hey neighbours, My friends and I are planning a quick trip to Bucharest- mostly for the Christmas market but I would love to get some recommendations of cool places and hidden gems. I take all kinda of recommendations already have “The Vault” and “Caru’ cu bere” on the list, also any bars and food places with smoking areas would be highly appreciated. As for sight seeing, already have added most tourist known places but would love some locals recommendations. Thank you so much in advance 💖

Ho-ho-hooo.
To be fair the list would be pretty huge, Bucharest has a developed cultural scene, with museums, theatres, art galleries, the Athenaeum and Opera for classical concerts. Just stroll along Calea Victoriei/Victory avenue and look left and right, you'll find tons of stuff to see.
Regarding smoking, better ask the staff beforehand when/if making reservations.
-Rooftop bars&restaurants in Bucharest. I recommend in particular Linea Closer to the Moon (smack in the city center with nice views) and Nor Sky Casual (it's a restaurant at the 38th floor in the tallest building in town in one of Bucharest's business districts)
-Excalibur Restaurant, like Caru cu Bere, but with medieval theme.
-Therme Bucharest, one of the largest indoor Spa's in Europe, with a large palm tree beach, if you're lucky you can sit outside in hot thermal water while snow is falling on your head and shoulders. It even has a sauna with a cinema inside.
Have fun and Merry Christmas!
