Gorgeous đ
tjean5377@reddit
Really beautiful car.
GallantChaos@reddit
Totally a white court vehicle
Capitalistdecadence@reddit
There's the Batmobile and then there's the Bruce Wayne mobile.
deadheffer@reddit
I would rather this be two-face, Penguinâs or Jokerâs.
A Gotham movie in the 20s would be fucking awesome
Capitalistdecadence@reddit
Now I'm just imagining 1920's Bruce Wayne developing his alter ego name,
Bruce: "I am...the Bat Chap, no, Bat Sport, the Bat Fella, The Big Bat Cheese, The Bat Egg, The Bat's Pajamas. Oh, this is useless!"
Alfred: Carrying a silver dining set "Your lunch, Master Wayne."
Bruce: "Thank you, my good man...Say now, that gives me an idea!"
kilobitch@reddit
That thing is massive. My brain wants to see a low-slung sleek car, but adults standing next to it barely hit the roofline!
Nannyphone7@reddit
Big but inefficient. It is 60% engine bay.
b16b34r@reddit
Must be a 1,000 gal fuel tank, because the speedo reads up to 200, even if itâs Kms/Hr it would need a lot of fuel
booniebrew@reddit
I had a spot in a car show next to a Springfield Rolls for a weekend. It was mind boggling how big the car was but how little space there was for people. The owner said when his wife was with him he had to put his arm behind her to fit while driving.
SerendipitouslySane@reddit
I'm sure that's the excuse đ
Independent_Wrap_321@reddit
Unzips pantsâŠ
RedBeardFace@reddit
We still have my grandpaâs â41 Buick that has a straight 8, but it weighs a billion pounds and tops out around 55mph lol. Big but inefficient came standard on a lot of cars back then
DMala@reddit
We take it for granted now, and it's kind of old fashioned at this point, but the invention of the small block V-8 really was a quantum leap in automotive technology.
kantabrik@reddit
It was never meant to be efficient. It's purpose is to be oppulent.
b16b34r@reddit
And how tall are the seats inside, is one step inside the cabin
HayMomWatchThis@reddit
Got to give them props, though on putting the seat heightâto bum height.(see first picture)
BuckGlen@reddit
Never realized how big it was... Now i wanna know what a couple could get up to in that thing.
BHweldmech@reddit
Make, birth, then raise a family!đđđ
javoss88@reddit
That is one HELL of a stylin machine. The back end is pure artwork
NUFIGHTER7771@reddit
(Heavy Queens Accent) Does the dame come with it too? đ
Mokumer@reddit
Fun fact; Jonckheere, The company that made this still exists, it changed owner and name a few time and they make touring car busses now but they still exist.
Awkward-Storage7192@reddit
I feel like the penguin should drive this in a batman movie.
ShouldersBBoulders@reddit
Art.
xpietoe42@reddit
magnificent and to think this is just a couple decades after the first car was producedâŠ. mind boggling
Efffro@reddit
one of the most beautiful cars ever built
Fitmature1@reddit
Now one of my new favorites, absolutely love it!
Tronkfool@reddit
Those round doors are a bit too frodo and the shire. Not that I want one. Also, not afford one.
lumia920yellow@reddit
I love the perfectly round door
Fitmature1@reddit
Me too, so cool!
ZuStorm93@reddit
Art deco cars are just đđ
Fitmature1@reddit
Very well said, I agree!
Good-Promotion-8909@reddit
I believe they have this at the Peterson in LA.
jcarr2184@reddit
Yes, saw it there this past January. It is absolutely imposing in person.
Incon-thievable@reddit
Yeah, itâs currently at the Petersen. Just saw it on Sunday.
Fitmature1@reddit
Lucky you. Was there a few years ago, want to get back there again.
Sam-Gunn@reddit
Yes, that's where I saw it a few years ago.
scenered@reddit
The only thing that needs is a cow-catcher up front to get the poors out of your way as you run them over.
DubTeeF@reddit
Tumba burros!
LucasStokes3000@reddit
Cool old car
John-AtWork@reddit
This is simply art! Gorgeous đ
PhantomSesay@reddit
So this is the inspiration for the car that we had to steal in GTA V, when we had to use the helicopter to help Franklin locate it.
Ahhh what was it called in GTA V again? đ€
Sonofthestig01@reddit
I think youâre thinking of the Truffate Z-Type but thatâs more Bugatti than Rolls
PhantomSesay@reddit
Yes thatâs it! Itâs strikingly similar donât you think?
JP147@reddit
Yes it is very similar.
This is a coach built body so some rich person probably asked their favourite coachbuilder to make a body for their Rolls Royce that looks like a Bugatti.
garter_girl_POR@reddit
Yeah it is very similar to a 34/35 Bugatti
seamasam@reddit
That thing is 0.1% expensive.
FirehawkLS1@reddit
Car looks awesome. Woman in first pic totally sells it.
Aquaticwolf@reddit
I've seen this in person before, and wow, it is massive! It has a powerful presence.

Stop...
RodCherokee@reddit
Among my all time favorites also.
ifhookscouldkill@reddit
Imagine trying to find a rear quarter for that
Independent_Wrap_321@reddit
Are all those pics the same car in various states? Is it a one-off or were a handful produced? Good god thatâs sexy.
jefftatro1@reddit
Reminds me of Roger Rabbit
Independent_Wrap_321@reddit
I believe the phrase âdat assâ applies equally to both
AnusTartTatin@reddit
Absolute masterpiece- itâs like art on wheels
Whole-Debate-9547@reddit
This looks like it belongs in Gotham.
DragonflyScared813@reddit
Straight out of Bioshock.
Reiko_says_Hi@reddit
Hotwheels made a car based on this called the screamliner
GreggAlan@reddit
It has a frame like a truck. They hadn't yet hit on the drop center concept.
Just call it an extremely channeled body.
I've never seen pics of this car in any color except black. Never paid attention to how much of a climb it is up to the seats.
blackbeansandrice@reddit
Everything about it says it shouldnât be real. From the silhouette to the round doors with windows that split to roll down, itâs insane. Can you imagine pulling up in that when it was new? When no one had ever seen it before?
nlpnt@reddit
This body dates to 1934, the car was originally bodied by Hooper with more typical mid-1920s upright bodywork.
justaBB6@reddit
she Jonckheere on my Phantom till I Coupe
Dying4aCure@reddit
I wish they would bring back that sweeping fender. Old TR2, Clennet, and so many more elegant cars had them.
E28forever@reddit
Made in Belgium đ§đȘ!
Tuscon_Valdez@reddit
Least hideous Rolls
GrandMoffJenkins@reddit
I bet if it caught on fire, you'd still be able to open the doors.
Hi_Trans_Im_Dad@reddit
Put it in your blog.
Not every God damned post has to have a Tesla joke in it.
Both_Farmer_8000@reddit
Youâd have no other choice bc those windows are too small to even climb out of
Soggy_Cheek_2653@reddit
I'm da

A-Matter-Of-Time@reddit
Thank God, the steering wheelâs on the proper side!
s6cedar@reddit
God, I love a car thatâs just an event. There are things happening when itâs sitting still.
tomjoad2020ad@reddit
Now that's a car for a real-life villain.
BlastyBeats1@reddit
Dear God this thing is MENACING
its_just_flesh@reddit
I wonder what the original color was, looks stunning in black regardless
rgmw@reddit
Damn gorgeous.
Hot_Elevator7800@reddit
Most stunning car and up close it's even better had good fortune to see it at a concours event in London man it's stunning and huge blows my mind thinking how the window works
XB6380@reddit
I love seeing pre-restoration pics of cars like these. It's so cool
winchester_mcsweet@reddit
That is one cool looking car!
