DVD synopsis writer didn’t even watch the movie

When I worked at a video store decades ago, I recommended it to a young couple that wanted a good comedy. They said it was the worst movie they'd ever seen!

I really think the reason so many people dislike it their first time through is they get so caught up trying to follow the plot, which is just not what makes the movie what it is.

I feel like a lot of Cohen brothers movies suffer from this, I watched Burn After Reading with some friends and they were all disappointed because they were expecting the plot to go somewhere but with the Cohen's it never does. It's just a slice of life of the most insane people and you're a long for the ride. The scene where Brad Pitt's character says "you think that's a Schwinn!?" and the other guy just punched him, I was howling laughing and everyone else was just looking at me like I'm crazy.

Burn After Reading is one of my favourite movies because there are at least 3 plot arcs, they don't make any sense, they eventually all come together, and the ending scene is summarizes the entire movie very succinctly.
