The bottles impacted include one- and five-gallon varieties with the label "Berkeley Springs Water Purified" or "Berkeley Springs Water Distilled" and have the following product codes.
090326 090426 090526 090626
This recall impacts the states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Please note: a Class III classification is used in, "a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences," the FDA says.

I bought 15 bottles at $5.00 in October. Is that why they sold it so cheap? Food Lion in Frederick Md.

Going by the product codes, this is 4 day's or so worth of making bottled water from a single water bottle plant so not of huge concern for water bottle sourcing as a whole. Definitely make sure the codes you have are good to go though.
It's odd though that they made this determination weeks after production, considering that there is a continual QC process of testing sample gallons of water for bacterial contamination, mineral content, etc. The facility that I worked at before would know if there was contaminated water before it even shipped out.

Thanks for posting this! I just bought a gallon to use for nasal sinus rinses because of a chronic sinus infection. I'll check the product code when I get home. That would not be a good thing if I made my infection worse.

This is absolutely the least worrisome news on here in years. 150,000? That's nothing. Not likely to cause adverse health consequences. Are those product codes or expiration dates?
