Series 15 of Top Gear pre-dates the Equality Act (2010), which prohibits businesses from denying based on the sexuality of their customers, by 8 years.
The sign is probably partially to say "no loud drunken hen/stag parties" but also is very likely a not-so-discreet coded message that says "no gay people".
This sort of shit used to be common in Britain until much more recently than people realise....
Thanks now I worry whether our AirBNB host thought we were some gay group because. Me and my Friends like to go on holidays together (and generally we don’t have much luck with women).

Series 15 pre-dates the Equality Act but only by a few months, not 8 years.

Informative? On this sub?

Was it real? And does anyone know the camp ground they went to with this sign?
JeremyR22@reddit
It's shown in the episode. Southwinds Campsite, just off the A39, near Wade bridge.
Looks from Google like it's still there with the same name.

Quite a recent change, next most recent street view is 2016 and the signs are there

It could be the owners are homophobic but I have a feeling the owners have dealt with enough 18 and 19 year olds getting a bit too drunk lol

I find the difference in camping culture between europe and north america fascinating. This sign is a great example!

What’s the campsite called?

Those are oddly specific restrictions.

Probably had too many stag/hen parties turn up and create havoc.

How's James room?
Oh it's immaculate!
