Well, "someone" made it okay to attack underwater assets in international waters. All these usually obnoxious countries in Northern Europe even kept their mouth shut about the single largest methane leak incident in history happening right in their backyard.
I wonder how easy or difficult it is to build an underwater drone which is capable of damaging undersea infrastructure. And how fucked we all are if terrorists get access to this. Seems like the strongest military in the world is already incapable of preventing disruption in the Red sea by a ragtag bunch in Yemen, without themselves spending a ridiculous amount of money and manpower.

3000 examples of a bootlicker claiming it's the west's fault that Russia is an aggressive terrorist state. did obnoxious countries in northern Europe also make it ok to steal children and systematically use rape as a weapon of war?
throwawayerectpenis@reddit
Dont really care, hope Russia destroys more cables 😁. Two can play the game.
hypewhatever@reddit
Noone ever said this tho. But if you believe the we good they bad narrative you are wrong too.
That's really not all black and white.
Russia is a Mafia state no doubts. We still kicked them in the balls at any chance
computer5784467@reddit
ah yes, like that time we tried to integrate Russia with our economy to strengthen ties with them
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-15637244
and then that time we doubled down on it after Russia first invaded Ukraine in 2014
https://foreignpolicy.com/2016/07/07/germany-is-rekindling-its-bromance-with-russia/
imo we tried to integrate those savages into civilised society at any chance, and it's them that kicked us in the balls. so yeah, in the specific case of Russia, it really is as simple as we good they bad. and the sooner people stop trying to treat Russia like a confused friend that's only hurting us because we don't hug them enough the safer our children will be.

Normally this wouldn't be news. Last time it turned out to be a cargo ship dragging it's anchor and the one in the red sea was also a ship dragging it's anchor and the one off the coast of Malaysia was a ship dragging it's anchor and the one off the coast of Australia was a ship dragging it's anchor and the one near Tonga was a volcano and the one near Greenland was sharks. I'm going to razor this one and say it was probably a ship dragging it's anchor or maybe sharks. No one has ever attacked undersea cables before because there is always a path to reroute traffic and the damage it causes is minimal. It generates more panic than it does actual damage.
onespiker@reddit
With its transponder of? Na that one was intentional.
mediandude@reddit
The ship had its transponders temporarily turned off, while circling the crime scene AND dragging an anchor.
yarrpirates@reddit
I think it was a ship dragging sharks away from a volcano.
Apart-Apple-Red@reddit
That's another one this week. 🤔 Hmm, who was recently threatening to destroy those cables?
Ohh, I know, it was Russia, but let's wait and see who the bots will blame
Thi_rural_juror@reddit
US intelligence also knew the Ukrainians "wanted" to blow up the Nord Stream pipelines.
The US intelligence surprisingly seems to always have a "head start" on events, but never a hand in them ?
And at the end always seems to benefit from it ? Where are the Germans getting their gas from again, all I know is that the US witnessed a sudden "boom in exports" right after the pipeline blew up.
just like they have a boom in exports everytime there's a war out there.
onespiker@reddit
The gas pipeline between Russia and Germany had already stopped exporting gas 2 months earlier and before that had reduced exports to 20%.
Also there is one pipeline still functional actually.
USA does have excess gas they just currently lack parts of the infrastructure to deal with it.
OuchieMuhBussy@reddit
So that makes two? Anxiously awaiting the same half-dozen posters from the last thread to come explain how this is all just some NATO false flag to make Russia look bad (as if they needed any help).
SmellenDegenerates@reddit
May I interest you in a Nordstream 2 pipeline conspiracy?
mediandude@reddit
Russia's "research" vessel was documented having been on top of it.
ForskinEskimo@reddit
So were US navy ships days before it went dark.
mediandude@reddit
I was referring to the Nordstream case.
Which case did you have in mind in your claim?
ForskinEskimo@reddit
Nordstream. Local Danish news quoted a harbormaster stating that US ships with their transponder turned off were operating in that area prior to the sabotage.
I know the WSJ said it was Ukraine and Ukraine backed but that's always seemed like a stretch.
mediandude@reddit
Was that before or after the Russian "research" vessel?
ForskinEskimo@reddit
Multiple source say "days" before the explosion, when the explosion was September 26. The russian ship and sub were there on the 22nd. So its not clear.
But the idea that eussia sabotaging their own main way to provide gas for one of their largest consumer doesn't make sense. It's even more unserious we were told it was a polish-rented, Ukranian funded and crewed attack.
My government doesn't care enough about Europe to not hit their infrastructure if we can get away with it.
mediandude@reddit
The pipeline was international. In international waters. Near Danish waters, which means near NATO waters.
You are mistaken.
Russia has a long history of blowing up its own pipelines at an opportunistic moment. In this case to get favorable conditions on contract dispute.
Thi_rural_juror@reddit
Come on dude, its very clear at this point that someone staged a false flag, the Russians did not blow up their own pipeline.
the US has pretty much proven its self to be global sabotagers, and this last minute ATACMS approval, right before trump walks in is another petty move.
a country that literally has regime change as a policy imagine that.
what surprises me the most is the europeans and specially the german's naivety, and thats assuming they dont know the real truth.
mediandude@reddit
Quite the contrary.
It is quite clear that Russia did blow up its own pipes. And Russia has practically admitted that.
That is Russia, yes.
Thi_rural_juror@reddit
You're saying the US does not have regime change as its policy ?
Quoting (ironically) the US ambassador to russia, indirectly admitting that the sanctions that they know cause suffering ARE for regime change.
"If there’s a peaceful transition to democracy in Venezuela, all sanctions will be lifted, and the suffering of the Venezuelan people will end."
mediandude@reddit
USA is not part of the Russo-Ukraine war.
But Russia is.
Thi_rural_juror@reddit
are you a bot ? its either that or you are transforming. can you fight back the symptoms of hypnosis?
mediandude@reddit
Try more self-reflection.
Russia has attempted coup in Ukraine, repeatedly.
USA hasn't.
ForskinEskimo@reddit
Well I'm not very aware what happened afterwards; did they get some kind of remittance from European nations? There has not been any new pipeline right? Through other politicking Russia isn't really providing much has to Europe, they pivoted to China.
mediandude@reddit
One of the two pipes of Nordstream 2 is still intact.
And Russia is still providing Europe gas through land pipelines.
hypewhatever@reddit
Which turned out to be true. Bad example
curious_s@reddit
I'll wait for the evidence, which I'm sure will be clearly communicated via the mainstream media once it becomes available.
ppmi2@reddit
Nah this is clearly their answer to the Atacam thing
RajcaT@reddit
One interesting thing about Russian sabotage is they generally want everyone to know it's them, while also denying it.
Trump will undoubtedly give Putin everything he wants. The interesting thing to see will be if Russia offers any compromise. I'm guessing no

It's certainly telling that the RT headline is "two NATO countries".. as if their military alliance status has anything to do with their tele cable breaking.... Or did it...?
