I only had one book for years and there was only a little sexiness, so I didn't realize it was a mainstay of the series. When I was chatting with a coworker about my minimal interest in comics, I brought up Elf Quest as the only thing I ever read and he said, super loudly, in the office, "the porny comic?" I was so embarrassed because at the time I had no clue! After that, I read them all and now I know better, haha.
