lol. i just got a Pearson 26...it has a 15hp outboard, but i was wondering if my 55# trolling motor would pull it. i guess now i know. thanks for doing the science.

i push my pearson 26 with a 2.5 suzuki....

wow. you ever have issues being underpowered? like against currents?
i feel like this 15 is probably overkill...also...i think it might be so heavy its weighing down the stern and pointing the bow too high. makes it awkward to sleep in the v-berth. im wondering what it would cost to go with a new BF8 or similar...im a new sailor, so a shiny honda would give me some piece of mind and probably be a better fit.

It's definitely small, but it gets me on and off the mooring, also can get about 5 knots against the tide in maine, 6 knots with.
