I can't tell you how many situations in the show where I've thought to myself that if Troi was a full on Betazed, she would have prevented maybe 50% of every problem in every episode within minutes. Wesley and his friends acting dodgy at the academy? They're lying about their training maneuver. Guilty looking Vulcan kid on board? He's actually half Romulan but he didn't do anything illegal. Which made me think that, instead of seeing a Betazed from time to time, they should have one on every ship and senior staff on the federation. Ever single interaction with Romulans, every diplomatic conference.

In fact, they're so OP that I'm surprised they aren't either enslaved for their usefulness, or the dominant species in the galaxy or at least the federation. They would wreck everybody.
