The_Gachi_Racist_@reddit
Yes and I hate that design.
eferalgan@reddit
Yes we have this kind of recipients and they all suck. The cap is often too close to the bottle and when you drink from the bottle, you can’t wrap your lips completely on the bottle and liquid drips on your clothes; or in case of the yogurt bottles, there is yogurt stuck on the inside of the cap and when you lift up the bottle to drink from it, the yogurt from the lid drips on your clothes.
This is a very poor thought idea. The detachable cap was much better
Ok_Structure_6518@reddit
Are you sucking on the bottle or what? I never have these issues
-BarrenWuffett@reddit
Recipient nu are sensul cuvântului din română în limba engleza, singura definiție în engleza este cea de destinatar. Poți înlocui cu bottle.
eferalgan@reddit
Corect
Inkaara@reddit
We have them. On 2 liter boxes of milk. WHO IS CARRYING AROUND TWO LITERS OF MILK AND THROWS CAPS AWAY
SamiTheAnxiousBean@reddit
Yes and seemingly everyone except me hates them
XAHKO@reddit
Most change is an inconvenience at first. Fear not, we’re an adaptive species. The cause is just
fk_censors@reddit
What is the cause?
XAHKO@reddit
To put a stop to the cruelty of bottle and cap separation. They have feelings too ;)
ZinbaluPrime@reddit
Nope. There are two of us now.
God-Among-Men-@reddit
Three actually
-BarrenWuffett@reddit
All EU countries have these bottle caps since this design was an EU directive.
fk_censors@reddit
What was the supposed goal of this directive?
-BarrenWuffett@reddit
Their reasoning was that the caps being tethered to the bottle would reduce plastic litter.
posjetilac@reddit (OP)
Do plastic bottle products from Turkey, Albania and North Macedonia have those bottle caps?
Most of bottle products from Serbia and Bosnia have those bottle caps, but not every bottle has (like Pepsi and Vitinka products).
-BarrenWuffett@reddit
I’m not sure as I haven’t been to any of these countries in the last 12 months, but since they’re not in the EU, they might not have them, since non-EU members don’t have to comply with EU directives.
posjetilac@reddit (OP)
Bosnia is not a member of EU, and not Serbia, either. But our products (luckily, not every) have that feature from EU.
-BarrenWuffett@reddit
It’s probably more cost effective for the company to manufacture the same lid design throughout Europe.
Defiant-Dare1223@reddit
We don't have them in Switzerland.
-BarrenWuffett@reddit
Switzerland’s not in the EU, just part of the single market.
ExtremeProfession@reddit
Our companies also export a lot to Croatia and Slovenia

Arktinus@reddit
I was in Istanbul in October and the bottles we bought and drank from had the normal bottle caps.
PyroSharkInDisguise@reddit
I have countered them in Turkey but it isnt widespread. Also they are annoying…
Puzzleheaded_Sir903@reddit
Annoying is too nice word for it. The bottle cap kept hitting me on the nose or scratching my chin.
testmypp@reddit
As of my experience the bottles in Kosovo do not have those kind of caps except for those which are also sold in EU countries. So my expection would be that this is also the case for Albania and North Macedonia because they have similar products :)
Impossible_Speed_954@reddit
These are pretty rare in Turkey and only some companies have them.
Albanian98@reddit
Yes we have it in Albania too
AlmostAnchovy@reddit
I know one brand that does this. By the looks I'm guessing that it's mechanism is stronger than the one in the picture, which makes it very uncomfortable to use.
ButterscotchThink477@reddit
In the Rep. Moldova, they are as well.
freakybird99@reddit
Im from turkey and only "saka" branded water have those. I remember the cherry coke i had in serbia also had that cap tho
AliHakan33@reddit
They're not very common but they do exist
Competitive-Read1543@reddit
Yes, we have a very similar design
vlaritrin@reddit
They may be annoying from time to time
oldyellowcab@reddit
Happily the spirit bottles don’t have such bottle caps -yet.
oldyellowcab@reddit
I’m against the EU just because of these bottle caps. But nobody cares. Why? Because Turkey won’t be a part of the EU sooner.
BudgetingIsBoring@reddit
Not in Canada, that's too advanced for us,maybe in 500y
enilix@reddit
Yeah, as they're mandatory in the EU (I think?). I don't mind them as much as most people.
ejjedidne@reddit
I believe Star Cola uses em but it could just be Mandela affect
cevapcic123@reddit
Yep
NoExide@reddit
Unfortunately.
On the other hand, it's easy to yank them off. Fortunately.
ostkraut@reddit
This particular design is very rare here.
prehistoric_monster@reddit
Yup, every european country does even those not in eu
Defiant-Dare1223@reddit
Not us!
Defiant-Dare1223@reddit
No thank fuck
Internal-Debt1870@reddit
Yes and they're not as bad as people make them seem to be. It's very practical when you're on the move.
silverbell215@reddit
They are annoying. I stick to Lejla since it seems to be one of the only water products in Bosnia that doesn’t have it.
TWO-COOPERS@reddit
It doesn’t matter if they make then attached or detached, I’m still going to throw the bottle into the ocean
SebastianCophet@reddit
Same here!
Sea-Limit-5430@reddit
I hate these sooo much. I’ve only ever seen one in Canada, and I’ve been boycotting that brand of orange juice ever since
K4bby@reddit
Yes, but so far only Coca Cola and companies they own implemented this change.
ve_rushing@reddit
Those are everywhere now.
29Drastic@reddit
I h a t e them with passion. I rip them off every single time when I open a new bottle.
Dubl33_27@reddit
lol, that expires on my birthday
29Drastic@reddit
Now everyone knows when your birthday is
Radiant-Safe-1377@reddit
I rip them off, spill the contents over me and curse von der leyen’s family tree
evgeny3345@reddit
Von der Lyin'
29Drastic@reddit
This was accurate!
alexsmajor@reddit
Yes, love them!
BabySignificant@reddit
We have those mostly on products shared with the EU in some way. Coca-Cola products and Cockta have those, but Pepsi products don't. Our local drinks also don't.
Every-Artist-35@reddit
Yeah we got them. There is a trick, you open it and roll it bottom down so it doesn’t slap on your face when drinking. Cmon Balkan bros let’s get with the flow
Cautious-Passage-597@reddit
it sucks its annoying!
_zurik_@reddit
It’s a bit annoying, but okay. I’m breaking the plastic that holds the cap on the bottle.
God-Among-Men-@reddit
Yes and everyone expect me hates them I like them it means I don’t have to carry my cap
Tokeitawa@reddit
Mildly annoying.
ipidov@reddit
The archnemesis of the Bulgarian conservative. If only we could have our old caps back it would solve all our problems.
ZinbaluPrime@reddit
Why? It's one of the best fucking inventions ever.
No more cap rolling in the car while you drive causing you to crash into another VW or Audi.
No more beer bottle cap tumbling under the sofa and you have to call your kids to go dig it out among the other trash there etc. etc.
Tokeitawa@reddit
Personally, it wouldn't be much of a problem if the company was competent enough to make them work without any issue, kinda like those Rosa bottles for kids, excluding the suckling part.
The fact we have to open it like regular caps and sometimes having to brute-shot is mildly annoying at best.
BamBumKiofte23@reddit
They recently switched to these for my farmer's market tsípouro and I'm so annoyed by them. Like... I get why, but they're annoying as hell. I snap the tiny plastic belts as soon as I open them.
petahthehorseisheah@reddit
They saw us giving the caps for charity, so they did this to try and stop us.
Satsuka1@reddit
Why i drink Pepsi over Coce. I hate those.
VukKiller@reddit
Every major drink seller has these.
You could find some local small businesses that don't do this. Yet.
Sharp-Actuary7087@reddit
Yes in 🇭🇷
posjetilac@reddit (OP)
Do all plastic bottle products (including Pepsi too) that are produced in Croatia have those bottle caps?
Sharp-Actuary7087@reddit
All bottles I have seen, but I don’t drink Pepsi so idk lol
HeyVeddy@reddit
I hated it but after a month, I love it now. Way better than regular
BootyPounder502@reddit
why is my birthday on that bottle?
Ambitious-Impress549@reddit
They’ve started doing it in Albania & Kosovo and we’re not even part of the EU yet
SamiTheAnxiousBean@reddit
Serbia has had these since 2020 and we prob won't won't even be in the EU
MegasKeratas@reddit
I rip it off. This is the biggest bs since paper straws.
inalibakma@reddit
They are fucking horrible I fucking hate the EU
SnooPuppers1429@reddit
Some do some don't
Manaversel@reddit
Yes but i just rip it off
Affectionate-Arm-405@reddit
I don't like it. But I respect the decision
