This is a terrible setup. Please ship it to me in miami so I can take care of this for you! lol

Lololol, yes, clearly should be properly disposed of IMMEDIATELY if not sooner! You indeed are most noble to volunteer for such an arduous task!!! 😜👍👋🙃

I have my plus at my parents house which is sadly being cleared out but many many decades ago my sibling broken the drive. So i need a new drive. I hope it boots but im worried about leaking.

Did you replace the power supply?

No, if you look at the photos carefully, you’ll see in the picture showing the inside. The black power supply is actually a combination power supply hard drive unit from applied engineering that has that ribbon cable which is an IDE cable going over to slot seven… It’s a completely different power supply than the original Apple PSU that had to be removed to install that upgrade… It was also a beefier PSU since it was meant to drive a mechanical 3 1/2 inch hard drive that’s in case in the front of it, as well as the additional fan at the top of its own case inside the computer, it too, could have we can capacitors, but so far that’s not been an issue, and it was intentionally overbuilt at the time to even consider that you might have a system fully loaded with cards in every available slot… so far there’s been no issues with it, and it even has internal glass fuses, which have not blown, so I’m being mindful that there could be problems with it, but none of the retrofit kits work and that would require special effort.
It was called the applied engineering Vulcan, 40 MB hard drive power supply!
