Is there a trick to removing the mount that comes with the Sig 4XT Pro?

I'm currently of the opinion that sig red dots are garbage. First 4XT pro was DOA and now I can't get the stock mount removed on its replacement. Removed the screws and it's stuck on like someone welded that fucker on. Am I doing something wrong or are sig red dots garbage?

Have to say it…hit it with your purse. The Sig Romeo 4T is basically the best red dot on the market.

Used a heat gun, rubber mallet, and a vice to no avail. Im sending it back to Sig, and then I'm selling it on gafs.

Did you only hit it horizontally?

I tried horizontally and vertically. Looking at the screws and one is 30% shorter than the other 3. Kind of thinking it sheared off and is still partially threaded together

Tip tip tappy with small mallet. Optic will be fine

I've been there and done that. Heat gun and mallet and had the optic in a vice. Hit it plenty hard, and it's stuck on.
